I was wondering how many couples when starting chastity have a break in period so that the man really gets used to being in chastity and the woman has time to get over any feelings of her denying the man? I have read a number of books/articles that suggest an initial start of chastity by the man wearing the device first for a few hours, then a day then a day and night and so on gradually getting used to the device over possibly a 2 week period. Then once any teething troubles have been ironed out and both partners are happy with the fit, a break-in period of 3 months is recommended to really let the man know he is going to be in chastity and release will be strictly limited. There are also suggestions that any whining, moaning or complaining during the 3 months means that he has not fully accepted his new chaste lifestyle and the KH needs to add an additional month on the first occasion and 2 more months on any second occasion.
Totally, 100% agree with the 1st part. Both physically and mentally. The second part is a bit over the top for us (and many, I think), but a longer break in period of 1 to 3 months IS a good idea. My Queen needed it more than me. She left the key at work to resist temptation and even encouaged me to beg while she could confidently say No! In the end she caved at 61 days but we both learned a lot and she doesnt need to leave the key at work in order to deny me any more.

If I may say once you both agree to chastity and obviously found a device that suits you both in style and comfort. obviously you both have already communicated time frame for lock up be it a day or 6 months or as it should be, not your choice. Enjoy sit back and allow your key holder to decide. just my opinion
I like the adjustment period. I've done that when I get a new device as well. The term of the second phase, would be best determined, in my opinion, on the results of phase 1. I could easily see a month as that duration or even six months depending on how the break in phase went. One thing seems clear about chastity play, is it is so dependent on the individuals involved and their desires.
when I was first put in a cage it was cb plastic one and it was a lot to big for me and the ring bit was horrible and hurt. Mistress sayed try it for a day so I did but it still hurt and I never wored it longer than a day really. so its good to not have to have a new cage on for ages. I got a little metal one now that dont hurt me and I have had it on sometimes for 2 month and it dint hurt.
agree with this, you have to get used to wearing a device, get your body used to it. Then once you have adapted to being in a cage, then go with extending the time your locked.
