I've been considering ways to secure the cage fully other than piercing and thought that maybe putting a small glans ring on, then putting on the cage could be a possible anti pullout solution. Any one have experience or thoughts on how viable this is?
After posting I realized there might be more information there so I did check. Apparently it is a possibility but most people seem to be in the testing stage with the option. From what I've seen for customizing my device (kink3d) one can use a silicone ring with a zip tie to secure it, or I believe using a ring like this (https://www.thechaingang.com/large-captive-replacement-glans-ring-s.html) could possibly work as well. Essentially the idea is to anchor the ring to the device, which should mostly prevent pull out. I feel as if the metal ring with the bead would be more secure though as once the bead is through the bottom space (and the head is through the ring in the device) it would be almost impossible to pullout.
My Lori 2a has one and and when you slip on then insert into cage it get screwed on with the security screw . Works quite well and it is comfortable.
I have been experimenting with this. I have a glans ring which only fits inside the cage ring if inserted at the right angle with the open part going through the cage bars. Once lifted back up into place it cannot be pulled back through the cage's ring. No fixing is required. My cage is one of the very short open metal types so when everything is pushed back against my body my glans is wider than it is normally which further prevents it being slipped through the glans ring. I have tried pulling out and while I can get my shaft behind the base ring I cannot pull my glans from the cage.
It can work (I have one such device) but it's quite difficult to get the right size that prevents glans pull-out while not being too tight (painful).
