The inner metal lock of the cage is flimsy. If necessary, you can open it with a simple screwdriver.

I have cut three cages. First two were QIUI app lock. They both got broken after sweeming pool. I just cut them with a metal saw. Albeit there is a way to open QIUI with a screw driver, but I hadn't known about it at the time.
Last cage I cut was a plastic one. I quarelled with my wife heavily. I didn't want to stay locked any more. I just cut a plastic cage with a metal saw.

I all cases it took me maximum 20 minutes to cut a cage.

What if a cage was made of metal? I don't know. I have few, but luckily there was no demand to break a metal cage.

I wouldn't put it in this way. APP controlled lock is definitely very secure, but you can breake the device itself.

There are no reliable locks and cages. The best lock is in your head, you just don't have to think about it.

Super glue the key in the lock and snap the end off, the only problem is then the hygiene issue it will bring.

Only issue with super glue or Deliberately breaking the key off would also Restrict access for Mistress.
Shame there wasn't a lock that couldn't be picked or was Extremely difficult To pick

Even the most heavy duty and expensive locks used for securing a motorcycle for example can be picked without issues. Or vaults thats use complex mechanics are locked with ease as demonstrated on YT by various users. So it would be highly unlikely that a there would exist a very effective but relative tiny lock for chastisy cages that are unable to pick or break.

Tubular locks are really hard to pick. Unique Security screws are also challenging.

The cyclinder locks provided are cheap and mostly have the same key. You could make more easy by buying a replacement cyclinder from Burg Wachter with a different key. No doubt these will be more secure and harder to pick than the cheap ones.

If your key is in the keyhole and you break it off all pins are aligned and you can turn the cylinder.

Glue the cylinder without key or stuff some coarse things like sand or so inside and you wont get it open since your key isnt able to align the pins anymore.

I picked mine several times because I have been bored. No problem.

I have no experience with the Burgwächter tubular locks.

Burgwächter tubular locks are not harder to pick than other tubular locks. With hook, bars & Co it is tedious work though as you would have to pick he lock several times to unlock it completely. With a fitting multitool though you are done in less than a minute.

In general it is easiest to pick the lock if you are somewhat experienced as smaller locks are often low quality / security ones and quite easy to pick.

If it can not be done this way it is certainly best to cut the the cage at a certain point using a diamond cutting wheel. No danger in hurting the waerer unless you ensure that it is done in intervals so you would not hurt him with the resulting heat.

If you are afraid about this topic though I think it best to modify a cage so you can use it with seals instead of locks. You can find cable seals for about 60 cent on amazon. They are much more tamper-proof than locks, not too big, lightwight, dont rattle and can be easily opened with a sidecutter if there is an emergency.

God seriously have some self control and just keep a spare key that you have access to, if your worried about an accident while traveling keep one in your wallet or car , your either chaste or your not...

There are plenty of ways of making a key in an envelope tamperproof, all you need is something unique stuck with clear tape around the key, someting like a date and timestamped supermarket receipt. Photograph it and while it's simple to extract the key, you have no alternative but to destroy the identifying paper protecting it.

Another way is to enclose it in a laminating sleeve, the credit card sized ones are ideal, as it's then really easy to carry the emergency key securely in your wallet. If you don't have a laminator yourself, having to borrow one to create your emergency key holder is both simple, and helps prevent you trying to cheat later.

You could make it really safe by laminating it with a card like this...
All an ER team would then need is a pair of scissors!
