The makers know how to make the oval rings based on what you say you need. For example of I say I wanted a 40mm oval base ring they would start with a 40mm circular one and shape it oval so it becomes more wide and slightly less tall. But they know exactly how much to bend the base rings.

Usually people say oval is more comfortable than circular. I had oval and had them change it to circular and made the gap on one side bigger than the other since my cage was rotating almost 90 degrees with in minutes of wearing it. I think I'd like to to try another oval ring but I'm not sure if I would run into the same problems with it rotating like it was or if it was fixed by making the side gaps different. I did two adjustments at once bc I wanted to save time and money by doing multiple things at once. But now I won't know which adjustment fixed the rotating issue.

The post goes worldwide! I’m in Australia and have ordered off the shelf and custom devices from multiple countries, no problems.

Red Chili, it is one of a kind. I think my Wife and I would both say that it is one of the best and most life-changing investments we’ve ever made.
    Worth it

We had BadAss Workroom customise one for us
    Best cage we've ever had
comfortable for me all the time
and the alterations made it not permit contact through the bars
and it still allows me to clean it and myself well enough that it only has to come off for hair cuts...and not even for that soon

I 3D print my cages. I can customize them as I go and on cleaning day, I just toss out the old one and put on a new one.

I agree with everyone else here that a custom device is definitely worth it. In fact, I would suggest going a step further and getting a piercing to anchor your custom device. That is as close as you can get to absolute security. Plus, if or when you decide to go permanent, it's an incredibly powerful experience when you close the lock for the last time.

That's not a custom cage. Most cages come with options like base rings diameters of 40, 45 & 50 mm, and varying cage lengths, but custom cages are made to fit, any diameter in 1 mm steps is possible.

True custom sizing does make quite a difference to the fit.
The important dimension of a base ring is the cross section area enclosed by the ring:-
    A 40mm diameter ring has a cross section of 1256 mm2
    A 45mm diameter ring has a cross section of 1590 mm2 (25% bigger area than 40mm diameter)
    A 50mm diameter ring has a cross section of 1962 mm2 (24% bigger area than 45mm diameter)

You can see that the standard sizes have a huge difference in size.
It's like being only able to buy shoes in sizes 6, 9 and 12!

Maybe you research Steelwerks Extreme and learn what custom really is.

Might be interesting just to hear some peoples opinions of it.
I understand this is a SMALL one so presumably there are other sizes
