Buy something smaller, try it on, and see how it feels. I've found that a cage around 10ish mm shorter than I measure to be the most comfortable. I've found I like a little compression, but not too much. Your milage may vary. Don't sleep in it until you are sure.
About a month. However, I could have after two weeks. I never got to the point where there was a gap. I just realized that something with a little more compression was more comfortable. That and my Wife ordered this (in purple) for me and it was a little smaller than I was used to.

When I wake up in the morning it's always very tight, but it doesn't wake me up in the middle of the night anymore. Actually, what wakes me up is if I'm not caged. Getting an actual erection in the middle of the night really screws up my sleep. If I'm released, I go back in before bed.
Sure, often times, a guys junk will fit in a range of cages. For instance, the Vice. There are three cage sizes: standard, mini, and micro. If you look at the sizing, a 6" penis will fit in any. The choice is one of preference, mostly. My flaccid cock fits comfortably in the standard. Usually though, there's extra space at the tip. (depends how cold it is out). It'll also feel almost comfortable in the micro. Although I had better be completely soft before trying to get the thing on. I can get an constricted, painful'ish erection in the standard. An erection doesn't have a chance in the micro. I find that I like to wear the standard cage during the day and the micro cage at night so that morning wood can't really happen. (yes, I remove daily to shower, I can choose what to wear there). Specifically to your question. My guess is that because you asked, it probably means it's time. Obviously depends on your size but smaller is often better. Just perhaps not your only cage.
In my experience most of the ‘shrinking’ is at the initial stages of locking up. You quickly find your penis to become more pliable and able to squeeze down smaller than you ever thought possible. It only takes a month or so, if that. It’s actually quite comfortable for many reasons to be in the smallest possible device, i loved being kept in just a 30mm cage. That said, it doesn’t mean that you should. Bunching your skin up for a long period without the ability for proper hygiene and being able to ‘breath’ can have other consequences. (Skin irritation etc. Discomfort upon release.) My advice would be to go just a few cm shorter than your ‘new’ chastity induced flaccid size if you are thinking about long term wear.
Hard to say 'cause you're not soft in any of them. Looks to me like you probably wouldn't fit unless you're a grower.
When you’ve been locked a few weeks just push something into the end of your cage (a finger if it fits). You’ll be able see just how shorter you could go.
You probably can fit then. I use a standard size but I bought a micro (Vice) cage for when the mood calls for extra tight. When I'm soft, I can fit with a little squeeze. The only thing you would then be concerned with is what happens when you get hard inside. If you're not folded in some awkward way, I've found that you just won't get hard. Or, perhaps more precise, you will get hard, but not any of the part that's in the cage. And if the cage is tight against your body, the only part that gets hard is your perineum (sp?). That doesn't hurt me at all (in fact I like it).
