So how did Alabama manage to get itself on a list of countries that make sex toys illegal?

 

Not sure that was all before I moved here but it’s a very conservative state.

 

pre check USA - within the USA that is fine, but flying to another country it is a bad Idea to wear it. Tried it once and ran into a private screening in germany

so i would never advise to wear it outside of the USA

Thailand - do not bring it at all. While the laws are not enforced much on the streets due to corruption etc I would not try this as a private person at an airport. You certainly will not go to prison, but you device is likely to be destoyed and you will be charged a fine
Singapore - Well I myself have no choice but to bring my cb here, but never wear it. No need to put someone with a finger to is as the definition as "obscene objects" is somewhat fluctuating. In general laws are less strict than in Thailand though - there are even sexshops in Singapore.

 

I'm a foreigner living in Singapore, currently locked, and no concerns about wearing it here. I travel a lot and it is off going thru security at the airport then on again straight afterwards. My cage is in my hand carry thru security and I have seen it in the x-ray and never been questioned about it. The issue that gets policed more closely here is homosexuality but even with that they are now looking at decriminalisation.

For Thailand I've been locked going in and while there many times without an issue. Similar to Singapore I always hand carry the cage thru the security check and they've never commented.

 

I wonder what would happen if someone arrived at security in Thailand wearing a cage but without the key, so with no way to remove it?

That law has been heavily argued over, but at the end of the day it remains on the books but unenforced. Even in Montgomery, the capital of Alabama, there are multiple sex toy shops that sell all sorts of items.

 

A few years ago I was traveling with the cage and a ksafe in my backpack. My bag got flagged by the xray and they did a manual inspection. The officer gave me gave me a strange look after looking at the cage, but that was it.

I figure it was the timer and motor in the ksafe lid that was picked up on the xray, but it wasn't a problem.

 

Singapore unbanned gay sex at the end of last year. Unfortunately section 292 of the pental code still exists. Meaning: "obscene objects" are still forbidden - as is chewing gum, pornos or having sex in your own house if someone could have seen you through the window. Apart from the chewing gum thing those laws are usually not enforced in the sense that they will not actively look for it, but if they stumble about you might get charged. We know about three people who last year got charged for one of those reasons. One couple for eeing seen during sex from the street (4th floor) and two for the possession of pornos which came out when police was checking harddisks for financial papers.
So the laws still exist and sometimes beeing enforced it is up to yourself to decide it it is worth the risk. You certainly will not go to jail, but a fine still hurts and if you are a foreign resident your residential permit might get revoked in some extreme outcome.

However - it stands to question wheather CBs even fall under section 292 as it is usually used against explicit items that look like the real thing. That is why there can be sexshops here in the first place. And in this context I would say that most CBs look more abstract than explicit...

 

So, if you're wearing a cheap knock-off of a CB cage, that might have a case against you !!! lol

 

Goddess and i have done this on domestic flights a number of times. One time i was traveling with Her and we went through security with me locked in a CB6000s. The body scanner flagged it and i had an embarrassing “private inspection” which had Her laughing hysterically on the other side of security. Since then it is removed in the car at the airport and put in my carry-on. Immediately after going through security i go into the restroom and relock. If i am traveling alone Goddess will lock a numbered plastic lock on before i leave for the airport. i cut that off in the parking garage, and have a new one to put on after security and a 3rd one for the return flight. Photo evidence is required at every stage.

 

Surely that would only make it MORE desirable to be wearing it through security, lol !!! I'm guessing that was a few years ago?

 

I decided to take it with check-in luggage. Actually, I did this already a couple times bringing in chastity cages and other toys from Europe to Thailand. It never got flagged. Also bought two chastity cages from abroad which came through with the mail (while other toys didn’t came through by Thai customs, but most did!) on my Thai address. Just regarding hand luggage, I am scared that the X-ray will trigger someone to look what I bring with me as a metal product for boarding itself.

While by law it is illegal, Thai are not enforcing it too strong as far as I know. My Thai girlfriend wouldn’t mind bring a dildo herself too in checked luggage.

 

I had the pleasure of bringing my cage in the hand luggage when we travelled a few times in Europe.

We were definitely annoyed by the staff at Amsterdam airport as they don’t want us to take liquid or electronics out of our bags (so-called state-of-the-art scanner can scan everything without the need of taking them out), and then just flagged 80% of the bags for manual inspections.

At one point the staff has gone into the bag and dug out the little pouch for the cage, but stopped short of opening it in front of everyone. I guess I might just wear it on the body in future…

 

Yes it was a few years ago and, yes, it was exciting and humiliating which was great. However, i was very uncomfortable subjecting people to O/our kink without their consent. Those people did not go to work that day hoping to see a caged clitty wrapped in a hot pink thong! W/we are happy to share O/our interests with people but only those that consent to being involved.

 

Having staff pull things out in plain site is awful! i once had a TSA agent pull a dildo out of my bag—i was flying alone! In his defense, he was looking for something else and it was in the way but still…

 

@MrDoubleyou , interesting. I had no clue sex toys were illegal in Thailand. Hugely ironic considering the proliferation of sex related businesses, including sex toys, on the streets of Bangkok!

I wore mine right in and out, no problem at the metal detectors (trying to remember which cage, I think it was a SS birdcage knockoff at the time because my Lori's was not in yet). And while I am not a lawyer and have no idea of the detail of their laws, I would have no problem explaining that it is body jewelry and not a sex toy if I was stopped.

Personally, I think carrying it through in your luggage would more likely invite a sex-toy discussion than wearing it. In my case it is not an option any more, she loves me travelling "well secured" and can't stand the change in me when I have access to the key (even if I don't use it), so I won't be unlocked. The list @Chaz69 linked was useful, and I will probably avoid going to countries that might actually arrest me or cut the cage (and my bits) off. I'm a Yankee, so I probably shouldn't fly to Alabama...

I get it why a lot of people don't wear when flying but I am not afraid of secondary, nor of offending a security professional in the very rare event they order it. Would love to see a thread of actual first hand encounters where someone was arrested, fined or denied entry due to wearing a chastity cage - everything else is just personal choice/opinion.

 

On my flight out of the US to Mexico, having TSA Pre-Check, I went through a metal detector and it went off, so they sent me through a body scanner instead with no problem. On the return journey, there's no TSA so no Pre-Check. They asked everyone to remove wrist watches and belts to reduce the amount of metal on our persons, and to my surprise, my metal cage didn't set off the detector. I guess that reinforces the idea that stainless steel, as it's non-magnetic, won't necessarily set off metal detectors.

 

I’ve now worn mine through the scanner in Edmonton to Laughlin, Nevada and back last fall. And recently from Edmonton to Mesa, AZ. and back. No problem whatsoever. My tube and PA hook are stainless steel, so are the plates in my ankle. Nothing is said, and I’m just waived through.

 

That's with body scanners, right? Have you been through any metal detectors? I was surprised that I didn't trip the detectors yesterday.

 

I haven’t been through metal detectors recently. Everything seems to be body scanning now at most airports. But I have been through them in the past, without my cage. However the medal detector never goes off for my plates in my ankle. And there’s way more stainless there than my tube. Probably find out one day.

 

We are traveling thru Europe in April and may . I have been informed in will be locked up in:- Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey.. should be interesting..

 

I think it's body scanners for regular folks, and metal detectors for TSA Pre-Check in the US.

 

Yeah- We have pre check and none of us have been subjected to scanners.

 

Maybe. We travel through regular security checks. Don’t have Nexus pre check.
