I am trying a urethra tube for the first time and having some difficulties. I’m using a rigid one that is in my pics. I got it in OK, rather feel good, but when I urinate, it doesn’t come through the tube but all around it. I must not have the tube line up correctly.

I’ve looked at the flexible tubes with the metal tip but have read some posts about how that tip can come off and then it might require surgery to get it out.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed. [IMG]

The tube diameter maters a lot. Your urethra stretches, the tube does not. So as the poster above mentioned, too much of a stream in too small of a diameter (the inner hole in the tube). It's also a matter of internal diameter vs outer diameter.

When I wore a device with a urethra tube I had to work my way up to a tube with a larger outer diameter. It was also thinner walled tubing, so the inner diameter was bigger in relation to the OD. And it still didn't work 100% of the time, though it was somewhat better.

I used a flexible tube and I also had this kind of problem, so it still doesn't solve it.

Everything is linked to the diameter of the urethra and the tube, but the best solution is to try to pee slower, with less pressure (which is complex, because with the tube we lose a part of the sensation and we don't really know what's going on LOL)

About the parts that get lost in the flexible tube, you really need to be careful. It never happened to me, but I noticed that after long periods of use, they end up getting looser, and this can cause serious problems.

Also, as there are more "edges", and then, there are more chances of infections.

I love the idea of using a catheter, but unfortunately every day I think about not using it because everything ends up getting more complex and difficult. In the link of my signature there is the process of creating a cage that I am designing myself. It started with the idea of having a catheter, but I've already solved most of the problem with the current design and I don't use it anymore.

I"m thinking of cutting the metal tip off the tube and round the edges and try that.

Try using a larger diameter tube than you already use today.

Over the metal tip on the flexible tube, it makes access more comfortable, as well as making use less painful (at least for me). So, be careful when using without it, so as not to hurt the inside of the urethra.

I wouldnt recommend making any alterations your self. It may cause particles to break off inside you.

Adding a flexible tube over the rigid one might help. I've experimented with doing this with my Looker 02 with fixed tube and it helped some.
