    I am a whisky/whiskey, bourbon, and/or scotch drinker; mostly scotch though. My favorite mixed drink is a White Russian? What about everyone else?

    We have a cider maker in the family and living in the SW UK you can't miss the stuff, so cider - keep the money in the local economy and all that. I'm passionate about single malt whisky and whisky in general. I have 20 single malt Scottish whiskys, 1 English whisky, 2 Welsh 5 Irish, 8 blended Scottish, 5 Bourbons and 1 infinity bottle. Mistress is strictly GnT, slice of lemon, lime or cucumber and always just one cube of ice.. Sláinte mhaith

    A rye Manhattan is my drink of choice, though I’ve recently discovered the Paper Plane and that’s become my summer cocktail.

    My favorite mixed drink is a Harvey Wallbanger, or a Harvey Fumducker, (made with gin instead of vodka) though I haven’t had either in awhile.
    I prefer red wines, and especially the red blends or Meritages.
    Favorite soft drink, Sevenup/ Sprite or a really good root beer. Also a really good fresh squeezed lemon aid!
    I start my day off with a tall glass of Orange juice, preferably fresh squeezed!

    coffee... good coffee... great coffee... i have an espresso maker and a nice coffee counter top... that is where i spend my breakfast time mostly in the buff after waving good-bye to my wife in the mornings...

    A good craft beer, ipa, ddh, or a good sour beer.

    I've started to call them a White Ukrainian but they are a favorite.

    One relatively new drink for me is a Last Word. Not typically a gin fan but this is a great drink.

    Manhattan/Old Fashioneds are a solid go to. Crown and Ginger as well.

    Vodka here. I prefer on the rocks. Only times I've been able to drink lately has been during family zoom calls, which usually happen... Right before dinner. :3

    Manhattan - up
    Fill shaker with ice, add:
    3 oz. Tin Cup whisky
    1.5 oz vermouth Carpano Antica Formula
    Splash marrachino cherry juice
    Shake and strain into martini glass
    Garnish one marrachini cherry

    Unfortunately if I said it here I’d be immediately outed if anyone else was here that I know.
    So I can’t say.
    But I can say, nobody else drinks what I drink. It’s not a “drink” that’s ever had a recipe. I invented it.
    It’s been 7 years now.
    A simple thing really. Vodka, mixed with a very popular soft drink (but not too popular) no garnish. Mix the next one right on top of this one please.
    I also love scotch whiskey and rum creams, certain cordials, a big bold red, a light red too, now that I think about it.
    I also have been liking the hard seltzers, not the sweet ones though.
    Beer can be great in the right moment; from a miller lite while tailgating a game or a concert, to an IPA, Sam Octoberfest is great too (it’s coming!)
    Pumpkin beers can be ok in the right moment, maybe shipyard with a cinnamon sugar rim?
    You can go down the rabbit hole of microbrews.
    There is a lot out there

    edit- I thought a little more about it.
    Try this, peanut butter whiskey and rum chatta, with some caramel vodka. Make it a martini.
    Ohhhhh, how could I forget my favorite, a dirty vodka martini! Rocks on the side!
    Or, if you can’t go all out, use a cheap rum cream with PB whiskey, just on ice. Delicious.
    On flavored whiskey I don’t recommend cheaper ones. To syrupy and sugary is bad.
    Do the Crown Apple, don’t do the $1 nip of apple whiskey. Same with PB….splurge for Screwball. The cheap ones suck

    I should add, you can’t order my drink at a restaurant or bar. It’s a popular soft drink in the stores, but you would rarely (if ever) see it at a place of business, on the menu.

    so I end up drinking alone a lot
