I'm curious. What's the advantage of a paid for keyholding service?

Maybe it's just that personal touch? At least with a real live person holding the keys, they can fantasize that the KH wants them to do things. Different strokes (or not) for different folks.

 

Seems to have a findom aspect as well. In a certain sense, you pay for every orgasm.

that it is probably better in some ways for some people than not having a Key Holder.

Its more of a personal touch. emmalock and locksafe are not depending on someones mood.
Once you have paid a KH then they decide how long you will be locked.
I have never tried emmelock or any of the others. I just don't think it would work for me.
The only time I come close to that is the kitchen safe. When thats set for x days there is no chance to unlock.

Its a little bit different as @Mistress Jules set the time and can extend it.

Hi, I've used online keyholders, mixed results. I'm single and wasn't interested in a "normal" relationship. To be honest many of the online KH's seem to be in it for easy money, they don't read my messages and for the most part I'd say it's a complete waste of time. There have been exceptions, but they are difficult to find. In my experience some of the more professional have been the biggest let down. It's a difficult job if She is doing it right the chaste becomes heavily dependent or reliant on Her, I would imagine that this can be very tiresome at times, that's why a good one is someone to be cherished.

I think it all depends on how you feel about it, for some it might be ideal, for others it may feel a world away from what they are after. As said many times here, it’s to each there own.

 

I tend to agree it's 'each to their own'. So here's mine:

1. I somehow got into chastity
2. I tried self-locking - and it was fun for a while but didn't feel like the full experience (especially reading all the CM posts where people have partners as KHs)
3. There wasn't anyone immediately to ask to hold the key
4. I went on-line as an alternative

Not sure about "Findom" personally I think it's a croc. Lots of younger ladies are popping up, acting obnoxiously and expecting to be paid. From what I've seen many of them struggle with literacy. Try getting a job? I blame the YouTube culture, where people expect to be paid for being exactly the same as everyone else.
