I've had a printer for 6 months or so and have printed items from Thingiverse. Recently I started designing things that I either couldn't get or was unhappy with design elements of the Thingiverse ones. After several iteration of ball trap devices which I wasn't at all happy with, I have designed a PA secured chastity tube. The PA ring clips into the fork at the front and it then locked with a security screw going into a threaded insert. As you will have guessed from the image, I have uploaded the design to thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4323726 I would love to hear your comments.
Love the design. I think you need to make a ring around where the cage would sit on the glands/ head of the penis. If you could make a ring more pronounced on the inside it would make it more comfortable for long term wear
Unfortunately FreeCAD doesn't support an elliptical torus. The ends of the cage are outboard of the tube, so the end surface of the tube acts as the shelf you describe.
I wore this for about ten hours today with no comfort issues. I am refraining from wearing it at night as I worry about sleeping on it and breaking one of the bars.
I love the design! I love your creativity! I'm working on a PA specific micro cage myself will post pictures once I figure out all logistics!
Great work! I'm still trying to git gud at FreeCAD. I spend way too much time cleaning up and re-constraining old sketches when I make a change up the body. Are you using the PartDesign or Part workflow for your project? You could sweep a profile sketch along an edge of the angled cut end of the cylinder. Or, here I used a sketch path based on the edge, so I can fine-tune it: Result:
I use the Part Design workbench and tend to stick with primitive shapes. I did successfully use a swept helix to create an Archimedes screw as part of a force feeding tube... I hit a problem with the cage, in that any PA ring over 5mmX19mm (external diameter > 29mm) won't fit through the tube!
I just got one I had Shapeways print. I like it so far, have had it on for 24hrs, night included. Mesh over maybe the top half of the head would be nice, but overall I think it's great, thank you.
I really like this design idea, as it can capture existing jewelry. It's a real hassle to line up my PA piercing in my Lori tube to get the device on. I also have to live with the pin that came with the Lori, which is smaller than my current PA Gauge, This is a win/win in that regard. I think I'll try a design based on this. Thanks for the idea!
I know this is going slightly off topic so my apologies for that. has anyone made a 3d printed cage that would work with an existing metal ring?
I looked at doing that. Most of the metal base rings rely on pins on the tube engaging with holes on the ring. I couldn't see a way of designing the tube to give enough strength to these pins, that they wouldn't break off in use.
Apparently I took this further than I remembered. I never printed it though, probably because of the amount of support it would have needed or that there is no stand off between the base ring and the cage.
Another another chastity tube. I've been intrigued by the steel chastity tube available on Ebay for Prince Albert piercings. One image had the dimensions on.... Includes a shackle secured with a piece of filament. Peening over the ends of the filament with a soldering iron gave a small sense of permanence, though easily overcome with side cutters. I'm thinking about upgrading to a stealth lock. I've been wearing it for the last 15 hours with no issues.
Of course I did! What I didn't do was add was add the link to my post. Doh! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5201379
