New smaller key lock key

    Hi,
    My mistress wants to wear my padlock key but at the moment it is too big.
    What have other people done? Can't find anywhere that will cut a new one.

    Can you buy new ones?

    Having the same problem. That dang key is too big. Wife wears it, but she wants something smaller.

    I was thinking something like that as well. Cut and weld to make it smaller / nicer

    Just wear a key, any one the right size will do.

    It doesn't have to be the real one, probably better that it isn't!

    I have a bucket of keys here that don't match any locks.

    (And a pile of locks with no keys!)

    It is the symbolism that matters, not the functionality!

    I've no idea about local markets, but here in Portugal there is the Thieves Market in Lisbon,

    whre just about anything 'broadly legal' is for sale.

    Or just buy a small padlock with a suitable pair of keys from China, for not very much money, and then use the other key and the padlock to secure an emergency key somewhere that it would be obvious if accessed?

    Well... A pendant in the shape of a key is unlikely to draw notice or questions about what it is for. A real key, on the other hand.... It's a whole different world. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but they certainly serve different functions.

    we use these, I wear the black lock my Wife wears the silver key part, $3 ish on ebay, there’s several variations in stainless steel

    I makes sense for her to wear a piece of jewelry, not the actual key. The key can be left locked up in a location where the wearer does not have any access. Like a safe!

    My Wife keeps one in her purse and the other in a combination safe in her nightstand.... if there’s an emergency she can change the combination after I’ve used it

    My KH also wants a smaller key for her necklace. I think we(she) has settled on a cage for me. It uses the cylindrical lock. Guess I’ll check eBay or amazon. The link posted is in a currency I don’t recognize.

    We've decided to buy a Pandora key and a lock petite, works for both of us. She likes the look of it which is important since she is the one wearing it. And I get to see it on her
