Should I take advantage of finding my spare key and cheat?

If you cheat you have betrayed her trust. Do that and she may well refuse to lock you again.
My advice: put the spare key in an envelope and post it to her.

Don't. I suggest giving it to her, explaining how tempted you were, and ask her if maybe she meant to hide it somewhere else.

I didn't read any other responses that way either.

I have complete access to my key, and have no intention of removing my cage other than for cleaning.

The only other time it's removed is by Mistress Lux.

There's way more to chastity than just a cage. Either you're committed to it or you're not, hence my shits and giggles comment.

One thing we did to avoid this kind of thing is my KH has one key. The other is in the top drawer of her dresser, so she sees it everyday. It is sealed in an envelop with a signature across the flap. If there was some kind of real emergency, I could open and use it. If it was not and it was just cheating, punishments will come. She would be the on making the determination if it was legit or not. So far, it has not been cracked for either reason.

I know where my wife keeps the key when she's feeling lazy and not locking it back in her lock box. I want to get her a bracelet to hold the security screw driver so she won't leave it laying around tempting me.

I'm confident I could abstain even with access to the key. However part of the appeal to chastity for me is not having that choice. Her cage forcing me to remain chaste is a huge turn on

 

Why are you locked in the first place?

Is it to satisfy your fantasies? If so, and she agreed, and you unlocked yourself, then aren’t you are using her?

If it is to serve her, then how is unlocking yourself serving her interests?

 

Honesty is and always has been the best policy. Communication with her that you found it. Let her decide the direction it goes.

So probably still in the early days of locked and completely loving the thrill of it. Think carefully before you choose. As others have mentioned there are all sorts of outcomes most of which will be bad for you in the long run.

The worst would be that your KH never wants to lock you ever again and there goes a lifetime of kink and trust down the drain.
She might decide to punish and keep you locked up for ever including these nasty spike things
There might also be other non chastity punishments including ditching you etc.

My advice, like others albeit spelt the UK way, is to NOT to seek out the key and tell your KH that whilst you were tempted that you didn't and you still want Her to be in control. And can she put the key somewhere safe, yet secure that needs Her to authorise your release.

 

I also have my key in an envelope with a signature across the flap. I cycle twelve months a year (and live in Canada, so yes, serious winters) and if anything goes wrong I have it for emergencies in my backpack. When not riding, it is in my top drawer. Personally I find my attention to detail and Her needs are heightened by the continuity of this restraint. I have found that my adherence to Her request of staying locked furthers that feeling.

If my opinion means anything to you, I would pass her the key (not mail it!!) and ask that it be secured where accessible in case of emergency. Respect, honesty and faith in your decision will enhance this chaste union.
