I am in a long distance relationship with my Mistress and it would be impractical for her to have my keys, especially since my cage gets stinky fast. Is there anything I can do to keep the cage and ring together securely in a smaller form factor than a lock? Ive tried some paperclips but they are hard to close/reopen and poke me.

If you're wearing the cage in your avatar, you probably should be able to wear it indefinitely without removal if you put even a little effort into hygiene.

As for your question, I'm failing to comprehend why you need an alternative to a lock. If you're going to use something that you can open and close as needed for hygiene, why not just use a lock and key? If you think having easy access to that would cause you to fall to temptation, buy a kitchen safe to put the key in or leave the key at work or in the glove box of your car.

No the cage in my avatar is a dream cage haha, and I think you missed my point, I have no issue self locking, the problem is that my cage is too bulky in my pants, and using something else instead of a lock would reduce its size. I have a Chinese CB6000 S knockoff.

You could try a zip tie. You could also just get a better cage.

I have the jailbird cage shown in your avatar, I have no problem wearing it with a small padlock.

It's not the size of the lock, you need larger pants!
