    Wow, that's a pink suit!

Uh, oh yes, the topic, back to it...

The trouble with a name is that SHE needs to like it and it fits in HER head. Just be a bit more polite in general when you speak of her, that will be noticed, no matter what the actual name is... Ms. Smith.
Or as others have said, secretly pick an innocuous term that has meaning only to the two of you, such as you may ONLY call me sweetheart in public, or, I'm only going to call you my 'boy' in public. She wants a certain amount of privacy over the role in public, honor that and let her decide.
Jewelry? Perhaps an innocuous ring you wear or pendant she wears that has meaning only to the two of you. (As in not those overt bdrm design ones).

How marvelous you have such fun behind doors! That's something truly special!

I'm 13 years older than husband, so Ma'am is no biggie to me. Even though we're married, now, Miss Cecilia is still required.

"Lady____________" could be something for you to use if you don't like "Ma'am" .

My wife wanted me to call her Goddess at first, then got bored, she now told me to address her as Boss.

My boy calls me Master at home, always.
Ma’am isn’t common in the UK and sounds old, I’ve never been Miss anything, always Ms, and Mistress didn’t have the umph for me. My first sub always used to slip and call me Miss and it made me furious (maybe that’s why he did it ;) )
We don’t have a public system yet, but it’s something we will probably look at.

    It's always "yes ma'am".
