Males pretending to be females, is it harmful or harmless fun?

If a male is being lied to by what he thinks is a female is absolutely disgusting in my opinion. Especially if what he thought was a female turns out to be a male i would be fuming.

 

Is that because you don't find men attractive, so it would be something homoerotic that you hadn't consented to?

 

I don't find males attractive, I'm straight.

 

Ignoring the gender issue for the moment, trying to pass yourself off as something you're not is always going to end in trouble in the long term and people are going to get hurt because of it.

Pretending to be female when you aren't* is not on (and vica versa), I won't play with men (when I play it's for a power exchange) so I would be upset if I found out I was involved kink wise with someone who I thought was female but later found out was male

*I would define this as someone's legal gender identity and not purely their biological gender. Whilst CM doesn't have the full range of TG options (pre/post op, TV/CD, Non Binary, Gender fluid, Gender Neutral etc) I would expect someone who is in the process or has transitioned to use their acquired gender and those that aren't (like me) to either stick with male or unspecified.

 

I have o agree that there are some males, generally ones who for what ever reason are inexperienced in regard to TTTWD who will believe that the woman they are in communication with is projecting a fair representation of all women and thus their attitudes will be formed accordingly. This is regardless of the actual gender of the 'woman' they were in communication with.

Obviously any conclusions or ideas they have about women should only come from interactions with women or perhaps in part from reliable discussion with experienced males or broader discussion within a mixed group of people with no pretenses.

Any input to this inexperienced males future thoughts and attitudes that come from some guy dishonestly portraying himself as a female to fulfill his own fantasies will of course contribute towards the formation of a distorted view. Which I firmly believe is not good for anyone.

Which is why in response to the vote I chose 'Harmfull'.

Seems to be a reasonable idea. I'm not sure how much enjoyment a man will get pretending to be someone not even close to who they are. If one is CD/TG, sissie or what ever, just declare and go forward. The only members being badgered seem to be those who are deceptive

 

100% harmful... except, imho, if that person identifies him/herself with the opposite gender...

 

I’m not trans, cross dresser, or act like a woman but if it makes someone happy and it’s not hurting anyone, it’s harmless. I’m quite surprised to see the poll results.
