I like noticing what Avatars our family members choose for themselves.

Some are very tasteful.

A few make me smile when I recognize certain members.
I even like when people change them occasionally.

Proofs are one thing, I have no issue with those, but I suspect most of the pics @L-u-c-y is referring to are not proofs.

I do have in my album one photo of each of the different cages I have photos of. Each with me in it. They are there for reference purposes more than anything. Seeing a device is one thing seeing it 'ON' is something else.

Multiple shots of the same device from different angles can also be informative ... but for me it has to be said some people do go overboard at times. Particularly so on Fetlife for example. Overkill I think ..but nobody is forcing anyone to look at othr peoples albums. So if storage/memory is not an issue carry on .... if it is we should be told so some of the too many of one thing might be voluntarily taken down.

 

It is like an adult version of show and tell but instead of flaunting your flashy new toy on the playground, you are showing off your cool new chastity cage.

 

This is obviously my personal opinion when I say "Some" not all but some men maybe are hoping someone would see their dick pic and fall madly in love with with in the case of being on a chastity website for someone to turn around and say"Hey I love your dick and I cant wait to lock it up".
Personally I think about it this way: If Im meeting people in RL I am not going to be naked with a cage between mylegs. Just like going to a BDSM munch in a public place Im not going to dress up in nothing but a harness.what gets me is that some have no problem taking a dick pic and posting it while they refuse to post a picture of their face even with all the options available to hide their identity. To me its very impersonal there are billions of dicks out there and its nothing that we havent seen before.
as far as the need to say that I am into chastity by posting a pic I believe being on the website dedicated to it,says enough.

of course there is value in posting pics in an album on ones personal profile.
its there... if someone wants to go looking.

what i originally heard was that posting images 'publicly' is like playing your radio loudly on a bus.

Yes, I think it is. I've written before about how, for some, the act of wearing the cage becomes the fetish, not the chastity. It is the object, not the act. that seems to drive them. And because of that photographing it becomes a logical extension.

A related question is, why do men post photos of their penises to women, sometimes women they barely know? It's a part of our modern technological way of life that wasn't available to men even a generation ago. I wonder how many women reading this have received emailed photographs of dic pics they never asked for.

Studies have shown repeatedly that men are much more strongly responsive to visual stimuli than women. So you see images of attractive women in revealing outfits (or less) literally everywhere in society. Websites, magazines, film, video, etc. all saturated with images to attract the attention of males. Of course, media is controlled by and large by men as well, so that also plays a part in the under-representation of what women want. Plus it's more difficult (or time-consuming) to create media that caters to what women find attractive, which would be more emotional connections (bear in mind I'm speaking in broad general terms here. Individual women and men can enjoy a wide spectrum of visual/emotional titillation).

So besides the humiliation and personal obsession with self that other posters have already mentioned in this tread, you have the strong desire for visual stimulation that is common among males. Dic pics check a lot of mental boxes for a lot of men. And as I've noted in other threads, it's a 'me me me' thing. Posting a photo of MY dick for YOU to see only emphasizes how important MY needs are, especially compared to whatever YOU want, which isn't really that important to ME. I would suggest it's hypocrisy, but I think many men are more oblivious to this fact; they think it's to provide pleasure to a woman, but it's really all about them.

I started to post photos at the request of my Master as a form of humiliation. I am sorry they caused you some discomfort.

You could just remove the dick pics at moderation and better define what you mean by "photos related to your own chastity lifestyle experience." in the upload rules

 

From what I understand, a picture of a locked penis is like showing a part of ourselves with a certain form of anonymity.

If I was with a wonderful Lady, I'd be the kind of guy who'd be happy to show a picture of my lover (showing with the key of my cb). BUT, as we all know how an image can travel very fast in the web, I'm sure she'd be scared than a coworker see that, worst, if that coworker is her boss.

So, is showing a locked penis is better than showing the face of our beloved one? I'd say yes.

But here, I think it will be better if we see keys between cleavage (I'm not wishing to see tits, but only where the key "sits")
