    Read various opinions on this. I do both depending on how timing is but seems like being bare is better, just requires more maintenance? What is everyone's thoughts ?

    Always completely shaved, at my wife's insistence. She says a male sub has no right to hair there. Have grown to actually like it this way.

    Shave it all. Clean it up make it nice, hair is just nasty down there.

    I find that I like it just trimmed close. The little bit of hair help with some of the friction, but alas my k/h/Wife likes everything shaved and clean. I have grown to love being clean shaven and use a small amount of lube to help with the friction of the back ring.

    Sounds good, that's how I've been handling it, just find that sometimes the bottom of the jailbird ring has a bit of friction, maybe at times a slight burn. It's that portion between the base ring and the cage, the gap.

    I shave every other day, just started shaving my ass too,.....super smooth feels great.

    When we first started chastity I would shave bare but quickly found that the ring would cause friction behind my sack. Once the ring rubbed the skin raw and my girlfriend needed to remove the device for a few days, she wasn't happy. Now I have kept hair neatly trimmed and don't have the friction issues anymore and my g/f is very happy about that! Lesson learned.

    I'm shaved, but I've considered a heart shaped landing strip. It's more work than I want to put in though.

    Shaving has one little problem
    Till hair grow first 1-3 mm, their rubbing against the base ring is sometimes uncomfortable
    So I prefer to trim
    And now that I am locked permanently, I can't shave even if I wanted to

    Shaved...love it. Will never go back. Pubic hair is gross, and my Wife likes it bare down there

    Same here. Both my wife and I have shaved for years and we both like it bare. I am trying to talk my wife into shaving my butt but she has not done that yet.

    If I had to choose between bare and trimmed I would choose bare. As you have to choose between shaved and trimmed I would go for trimmed. Why ? Because shaving you have a really great result for about 1 day, but after that it becomes fast scratchy and bristly and it takes some days until you can shave again with a good result.

    As for that either laser / waxing or trimming.

    Ideally, I'd prefer shaved. The problem is that hair that starts to grow again is really sharp. Additionally my skin seems to me irritated quickly, so it will turn reddish with bumps after shaving. So trimming is the only viable option.

    Trim. The hair becomes very fair and thin. Just opposite to shaving.

    How do you guys avoid ingrown hairs? I've tried shaving a couple of times and I've still got a couple scars from the numerous and sometimes huge blemishes. I'd love to shave, but that was not worth it. I plucked it all clean once, talk about some bad ingrown hairs...

    Use a good quality blade (Gillette or Schick, 4 blades) and shave gel in SD read of cream...helps with ingrown hairs

    Shaved slick 'n' smooth....daily in the shower has become part of normal routine...as @shadowman6 stated, "good quality blade and shave gel" or super slick cream (Kiss My Face)....been shaved daily for 15 years....ah! :D

    Dump all shaving creams or gel and get a good shaving soap instead (f.e. golddachs has great ones). If you don't use some noname or the one from gilette this should help alot in avoiding irritations (and it saves money at the same time).
    If you look for a good razor with really sharp blades do not waste your time with gilette & co but head for a saftey razor from f.e. muhle and get astra superior platinum blades. Best blades for low price - especially if you compare them with the ones from gilette...

    If you want to avoid ingrown hair:
    1. do not shave against the direction of your hair, but with them (not as smooth, but way less ingrown hair)
    2. make peelings on a regular basis - especially a mild peeling ~ half a day after you shaved.

    It's funny...even before I got into chastity, I hated pubic hair, and would make excuses to clean it up. No more excuses now...wife likes it bare, I am hers to command, ergo I'm shaved down there. Simple!

    I have been instructed to be shaved for the last 15 years. It's really easy when you get into the routine, and your skin gets used to it.

    If you are a first time shaver, use a grooming tool to shorten the hairs to 1/4 inch. Touch up any long hairs around your nipples or lower back.

    You can stop here if you want to go to a wax studio, it hurts, so I don't go there.

    Lather the entire area you want to shave with "sensitive skin shave cream", doesn't matter if it's your chest, pubes, back.

    Use a new razor blade or two, I use the Hydro 5 every day. Probably a three to four blade project for newbies if you are hairy. Sharper the blade, easier it comes off.

    First pass downward, and with very light pressure. Second pass at a 45 Degree angle downwards towards your cage and useless cock.

    Do not go against the grain, upwards, you will get bumps and irritation.

    When you are out of your cage, downward strokes on your shaft will clean up any loose hairs.

    I always shave my balls in a downward fashion.

    Hope this helps, everybody is different.

    I hated pubic hair long before I knew what a chastity device is. It was few years ago, then a shower with shaving once 72h was pretty enough. Some day I tried to depilate public hair. I thought that if my wife does it and she's still alive, I have to stand as well. So, it wasn't painful that much and now I do it every 1,5 week. Hair is thinner, weaker, rarely ingrown. For me the best option.
