I would have thought not... if you want it to fit properly. My best suggestion would be to ask Latowski directly. You'd think that by now there might be enough staff trained well enough to go out taking initial measurements or casts. I'm just guessing here but if a cast was done properly it might be possible to produce a mould around which your belt could be made but I think you would still have to go somewhere for the final fitting...depending on how much work that does entail if working from a mould was not accurate enough. .
I believe that Latowski has done fittings at Mr. S. in San Francisco occasionally in the past. You might want to write to him and ask if he has any plans to do that again or elsewhere in the future.
Because of the shape and design alterations are just about impossible especially concidering the quality and perfection he strives for. Thus in trying to make the very best he would probably like a bit of commitment from his customers Xx Wendy
I can attest that the meassuring and fitting process for a Latowski does require a couple of visits to Mario's workshop. For my belt I had to go twice. First for the initial measurements during which you wear a special meassuring version of the belt. This one has laces at various points that Mario adjusts to find the dimensions for the belt. He also uses a couple of large tools that looked home made to me to get other meassurements. The second visit was to adjust the belt after I'd had it a while. In my case the shape of the back needed altering. For this I had to stand around Mario's workshop wearing just the belt and a t-shirt for a bit while he poked, prodded, and measured some more. The results are worth it though, my belt fits really well and comfortably after all that @SissyMaid4U did you end up ordering a Latowski?
@Blarb Turns out that in April Ill be headed to Germany for a few years due to work. So I might as well pick up one of these masterpieces while im there right?
