I’m looking for some community experience here. I’ve been interacting with Dietmar at steelworxx as I consider adding a looker 1 to my small wardrobe of devices. As I have a MM Jailbird and a Pet trap, I have a pretty good feel for the sizes. The remaining question I have is about the base rings. As MM owners know, the standard ring is an oval, and I have found that works well for me. But steelworxx offers a round anatomical ring. Steelworxx offered to make an oval ring matching my MM devices. but that for me curious. For those of you with experience. Would you go with a round steelworxx base ring, or oval?
great question...i was considering the same purchase, will be interested to see if anyone can enlighten us
I’ve used both. I like the oval much better. Make that much much better. Everyone is different so you’ll just have to experiment, but most prefer the oval, while a small minority prefer the round.
Thank you for the input so far. I’ve been very comfortable with the oval on my MM devices. It seems like a more natural fit what with the cage being right there. I just wasn’t sure whether the “anatomical” ring Steelworxx provides as standard made a difference.
I’ve go both the round and anatomical ring from Steelworxx, both good, I swap around for variety. Be aware that the anatomical creates a bigger ball gap, could allow you to slip out depending on the size of everything.
I'm interested in this too. I think you've asked a more precise and interesting question than merely "oval vs round", yes? I don't know what the "anatomical" ring is. Could you enlighten me? Lately I've read about not just round and oval, but also "ergonomic" and now "anatomical."
On the steelworxx all of the images show their “anatomical ring”. Essentially it’s a round ring but the bottom third is smoothly bent in, presumably to match the contour of you groin.
I have an Oval base ring and I feel it is more comfortable and secure becasue the urethral insert is very close to the bottom of the oval meaning a lot less room to get back into the device if you ever try pulling out. BTW I have not attempted to pull out of mine for a real fear you just cannot get back into it especially with the oval being so close to the insert. Mitch
