With summer here and me having an active not climate controlled job a new issue has arose. My metal cage is starting to slip more. I can't go to a 40mm base ring its just too tight. A 45mm was working great till sweat and heat became an issue. I pointed this out to my kh and asked what a solution maybe as she likes me caged at all times. I'm thinking maybe a plastic cobra style cage for during the day. I have read about people having reactions to the coating though is my main concern. Is it all that common?
I have a cobra style through Kind3D and it works perfect in the heat of Australia summer. I have not had any reaction to the plastic.
I think kink3d says around 5% of people react to the black dye. Others say it's more like 10%. I wore one for several weeks with no issue, switched to a smaller size and immediately reacted. Clearly different batches of product have different levels of whatever chemical that people react to. I tossed all the Cobra cages, if there is a chemical that can cause a reaction, but doesn't because of a low concentration of that chemical, I still don't want it next to my skin. The pink cages do not have this issue.
A small strap could hold your metal cage. Have you tried one before? If you haven't, I recommend at least trying it for a day.
I have one and hate it. It's not uncomfortable per say it bothers my skin over time. Sweat and heat I imagine wouldn't make it any better.
