i don’t know WTF is wrong with the USPS but I have had the following happen TWICE.

First last year I sent my Jailbird back to Mature Metal to get another ring made.

I follow the instructions and send it USPS one rate priority mail.

I get a tracking number and watch.

Well it goes from my local PO to Richmond Va where it then goes BACK to my local PO then back to Richmond

    WTF

After bouncing around it finally gets to Texas to Mature Metal.

So instead of a few days it’s about two weeks.

Well last week I sent it back again for an adjustment.

    Guess what

The same stuff. Richmond back to local PO back to Richmond now who knows where.

Anyway this is just a rant and I’m passed.

Oh and I’m not liking not having my Jailbird here.

Not sure what’s happening there. That’s frustrating. I’ve sent devices back and forth from the East coast to Seattle WA (MaleChastityNow) with amazing speed and reliability.

I completely understand how you miss your device! It’s almost tortuous for me to honor my no touching rule. And waking up with a full strong erection that just begs to be touched is a massive tease.

Just keep your hands to yourself while you’re waiting ;)
I find writing, typing with both hands, gives me an outlet.

Since I moved here two years ago I’ve had nothing but problems with this PO

    The folks are really nice
But it’s one stupid thing after another

And yes I miss my Jailbird

I’m at the point I have it almost perfect. Now I’m considering a PA and then should be ready for some serious long term lock ups.

Sorry about your mail issues. I've not had that kind of problem and our local PO works really well. Maybe this is just a secret test of your will power? LOL. Just hang in there, you'll be back under control soon enough.

I have noticed sometimes that tracking isn't quite accurate. It may be that the package isn't quite bouncing back and forth as much as the tracking info suggests. Either that or someone at you local PO is very intrigued by your special item.

    I’ll respectfully disagree also.
As much as I find them annoying they generally do a good job. And they do it at a cheap cost.

That said, I could complain about Fedex, UPS etc but they don’t have my Jailbird

My first cage I ever ordered, USPS delivered it to my neighbor! Thank god they didn’t just open it assuming it was theirs. I get enough packages via amazon or whatever that I’ll just open them assuming it was something I ordered. Now I check so I don’t open up someone else’s box containing a dildo or something lol.

    lol
    maybe you need to
it might make for some um "interesting" conversations

The lady across the street from me is a widow who is about 10 years older than me. She's a retired teacher and not bad looking for her age. Anyway it seems she's seeing another neighbor down the street. My neighbor next door also has the hots for her.

    So who knows.

And yes I know I know. And I believe don't play where you live and eat, and earn a living. but it's fun to think about

My business ships a lot with UPS and some with FedEx. I have found that *overall*, UPS has the best tracking, and FedEx has second best. USPS tracking is a joke. However, you get what you pay for: USPS is not set up to be a priority delivery carrier.

If you're worried about losing a $300 device, spend the $25 and send it via UPS.

Richmond is where your regional distribution center is located and almost everything will go through there, to be disbursed to the system. Packages go into wheeled bins which are then manually loaded onto trucks. Sometimes a bin will get shipped errantly due to mislabeling or simply loaded to the wrong truck. It generally runs like clockwork, but sometimes the docks will have dozens of bays with thousands of bins being loaded, unloaded and sorted. Humans come with built-in error rates. If you’d ever seen a busy postal dock you’d wonder how more items don’t get lost. From a driver who carries bulk mail between distribution centers in Dallas and San Antonio 5 nights/week.

Wrong. The reason the USPS is not profitable is because congress passed a law requiring them to have their retirement system fully funded going forward 75 years. No other shipping company is forced to meet this standard. Read.

Significant financial losses result from a legislative requirement that the Postal Service pre-fund its retiree health benefits.

    SOLUTION

Adopting a traditional “pay-as-you-go” method would produce an average of $5.65 billion in additional cash flow per year through 2016.

Unlike any other public or private entity, under a 2006 law, the U.S. Postal Service must pre-fund retiree health benefits. We must pay today for benefits that will not be paid out until some future date. Other federal agencies and most private sector companies use a “pay-as-you-go” system, by which the entity pays premiums as they are billed. Shifting to such a system would equate to an average of $5.65 billion in additional cash flow per year through 2016, and save the Postal Service an estimated $50 billion over the next ten years. With the announcement of our Action Plan in March, we began laying the foundation for change, requesting that Congress restructure this obligation.

The pre-funding requirement, as it currently stands, contributes significantly to postal losses. Under current law, the Postal Service must follow a mandated pre-funding schedule of $5.5 billion to $5.8 billion per year through 2016. In 2009, Congress granted a much needed deferral, allowing us to pay $4.0 billion less than the orignally required $5.4 billion payment. This year, Congress opted not to provide this deferral.

In the absence of legislative relief, the Postal Service was required to make — and made — this year’s $5.5 billion payment to the Retiree Health Benefit Fund. We had sought a deferral of this payment to minimize the risk of defaulting on financial obligations in fiscal year 2011. This risk remains. Even with the careful stewardship of resources we are committed to in the coming year, current forecasts anticipate insufficient cash to enable the similar $5.5 billion payment in September 2011.

Given the severity of our financial situation and the fact that we already have implemented aggressive cost-cutting and productivity-improving measures, we continue to seek approval from Congress to shift away from our unique retiree health benefits pre-funding mandate. We are committed to upholding our obligation to current and former employees but wish to do so in a way that does not constrain cash flow during difficult financial periods of declining volume.

Ensuring that the Postal Service remains a viable business depends upon elimination of legislatively-imposed constraints that impede our efficient and profitable operation. Congressional action, both to restructure our obligation to pre-fund retiree health benefits and to address overpayment to our Civil Service Retirement System pension fund, is still urgently needed.

    1. You may “feel” like it is, but it isn’t.

“The Postal Service receives NO tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations”

    2. Taxes pay for services.

    I value the postal service.

I value roads, armed services, disease control, food safety, etc. And so should we all.

    It’s about common good.

Also, the residents of rural areas should be happy about the infrastructure spending and basic services that keep them connected.

Yes, it could be better. My experience over the last handful of years has been positive.
