I don't think anyone needed them, but 50 yrs old would have been a reasonable cut off point.

This "supervirus" got more and more exaggerated as it went on.

The fact that people still think it's some kind of supervirus baffles me. I see friends on facebook saying "The virus has finally caught up with me. I feel so weak, but I'm getting better now." It's a cold!

I don't know anyone who has died or had a serious problem with this virus.

I don't know anyone who knows anyone who has died or had a serious problem with this virus.

The only people I know who are "ill" have had a mild cold. Nothing different than normal.

Whatever it is, it's not how I expected a supervirus to be.

It is a "Superflu" if one is hyperbolic. The girlfriend and I, and the "kids" (26 & 27) got it. Kids were OK, just wiped out. I don't get sick, but it was hell. Girlfriend went to the hospital, but she has bad flu response anyway.
Other teammates got it, were wiped out for 2-4 weeks, too. But other than that...? Nothing.

I think we were scammed, obviously. I was rooting for the virus... Always a soft spot for the villains...
    :p
(And just found out smileys don't work from the phone here.)

    (Not really in this case.)

    Masks spread viruses and kill.

If you think that's insane, well that's what all the health experts were saying in March 2020.

    FT6CI5kagAEy4PA.jpg

    NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL of MEDICINE:

"wearing a mask ... offers little, if any, protection from infection"

"the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic"

"masks serve symbolic roles ... they are also talismans"

Commiefornia Poised To Adopt 'Medical Misinformation Bill' Targeting Alternative Chinese Coronavirus Treatment Protocols
The California Legislature is poised to pass Assembly Bill 2098, euphemistically described as a “medical misinformation bill.” If passed, the new law would prohibit doctors from freely providing medical advice and treating their patients if those practices run counter to the official state sanctioned position.

Should AB 2098 become law, doctors who prescribe medications not approved by the state or who claim unsanctioned drugs are effective would see their licenses revoked and face strict penalties and disciplinary actions by the Medical Board of California.

In short, AB 2098 would designate the dissemination of information not approved by the state related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes “COVID-19,” as misinformation or disinformation, which constitutes unprofessional conduct.

If AB 2098 becomes law, any doctor who prescribes an alternative treatment ... say ivermectin—even at the request of their patient—could lose their license to practice medicine in Commiefornia!

26-Year-Old Graduate Died from Blood Clots on His Brain Less Than Two Weeks After Receiving Chinese Coronavirus Shot – Inquest Says Staff ‘Reassured Him’ of No Risks

    D6A7C041-CFF8-4F86-B693-155984A4E68B.jpeg
A 26-year-old graduate from Coventry University died from a blood clot on his brain after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine. An inquest heard that the automotive design graduate was given out-of-date information about the risks of blood clots.

Jack Hurn, from Redditch, died in June last year, less than two weeks after receiving the jab at a vaccine hub in Dudley, county of West Midlands, England.

Hurn’s girlfriend, who also took the vaccine, claimed that the medical staff reassured them that the vaccine was safe. The couple asked the staff for an alternative vaccine as they were “aware of concerns around the use of AstraZeneca for younger people,” but they were told no other vaccines were available, the lawyers said last week.

A week-long inquest at Birmingham Coroner’s Court was told that a GP informed Jack the risk of blood clots on the brain for his age group was one in 250,000 when the latest NHS guidance estimated it to be one in 50,000, iTV has reported.

Just another OOPS ... Just another statistic!

Thank you Rick. That seems obvious now that you've pointed it out. Once my brain saw "0" it started looking for something other than "time". I had never heard of January 0. Funny how our minds can take a wrong turn so easily. I appreciate the clarification.

Not only "odd", but also willing to pay thousands of dollars to avoid the shot as well. It's one thing to say, "I don't need it." Another to say, "the risks outweigh the benefits.". But ENTIRELY another to say, "Here's thousands of dollars to stage this whole thing."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been called out for its misleading justification of school mask mandates before. Rarely has it come from one of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals, such as “The Lancet.”

Two scientific researchers soft-peddle criticism of the CDC’s mask mandate claims in a new article entitled, “Revisiting Pediatric COVID-19 Cases in Counties With and Without School Mask Requirements—United States, July 1—October 20 2021.” But the results are devastating for the CDC’s support of school mask mandates.

“There has been considerable debate around mask requirements in schools in the United States and other countries during the Covid-19 pandemic,” the authors state in the abstract. “To date, there have been no randomized controlled trials of mask requirements in children. All analyses of the effectiveness of school mask mandates have relied on observational studies. The Centers for Disease Control in the U.S. have released multiple observational studies suggesting that school mask mandates significantly reduce case rates. However, there have also been numerous additional US and international observational studies finding no significant effect of school mask mandates on pediatric cases.”

The researchers, Ambarish Chandra from the University of Toronto and Tracy Beth Høeg from the UC Cal-Davis, then point out their methodology of examining the CDC’s mask mandate claims.

“Our study replicates a highly cited CDC study showing a negative association between school mask mandates and pediatric SARS-CoV-2 cases,” the authors state. “We then extend the study using a larger sample of districts and a longer time interval, employing almost six times as much data as the original study. We examine the relationship between mask mandates and per-capita pediatric cases, using multiple regression to control for differences across school districts.”

Thus, the researchers are correcting for many of the most potent criticisms of the CDC’s research methods. The findings support what the critics have said all along.

“Replicating the CDC study shows similar results; however, incorporating a larger sample and longer period showed no significant relationship between mask mandates and case rates,” the authors state.

“These results persisted when using regression methods to control for differences across districts,” they added. “Interpretation: School districts that choose to mandate masks are likely to be systematically different from those that do not in multiple, often unobserved, ways. We failed to establish a relationship between school masking and pediatric cases using the same methods but a larger, more nationally diverse population over a longer interval. Our study demonstrates that observational studies of interventions with small to moderate effect sizes are prone to bias caused by selection and omitted variables. Randomized studies can more reliably inform public health policy.”

The conclusions are unmistakable: The CDC cherry-picked data to support its mask mandates. When you expand the datasets, you find that there is no statistically significant relationship between mask mandates and lower case rates, regardless of arguments about purported efficacy.

The CDC was also selectively biased in the time periods it chose, which skewed its results. Furthermore, the lack of randomized controlled studies was another warning sign the CDC was issuing potentially harmful guidance based on shoddy science.

The CDC reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode...."To Serve Man". The people thought the aliens were there to service mankind. Oooops....nope, it was a cookbook.

The CDC does, in fact, stand for the Center of Disease Control. But it's the usage of the word "Control" that isn't what people thought it was supposed to mean! They control the diseases alright.....by lying and cherry picking data!
