Hi all, so after what went down with neosteel i am want to get a carrara as its been a dream belt for many years. i reached out in jan and got a quote but then a few emails to both the email that sent me the quote and to walter. No response still. Is this typical? want to get the order in and the measurements over. Any experience please lmk Thanks
Had anyone heard from them at all recently? I got one response back in late jan and then no responses since. I wanted to order a belt! Hopefully he is OK. If anyone has had any contact please lmk
I also ordered from them in January and haven't heard back since the initial quote. I know it wasn't supposed to arrive until May or later. My understanding is that this is normal for Carrara. They just... go dark. Long delays. Bad responses. But the belt is (apparently) worth it. So I'm not too worried yet. If I hear back from them, I'll post in this thread and let you know. (If you hear back first, feel free to give a heads-up!)
Adding on - I had sent a deposit for work back in Dec (available slot) to start in March, same story- wrote to them twice and no response yet. As others have said, this just seems to be the way it goes with them and to be patient for a really nice belt to show up one day.
Thanks for the responses. I never did place the order just waiting for a few questions to be answered like how to measure. Ill be patient and hopefully hear back soon.
I just got a response from Walter today. Turns out he had hand surgery, setting him back 7 weeks of work. In terms of measurements, I self-measured using these instructions https://www.carrara-designs.be/information/measurements/index.html
I sent him a message earlier today inquiring about my order placed 11/15/22 and got email "undeliverable" bounced back today? IDK what's up. I sent him an email 3/28/23 inquiring (which was my supposed shipping date) no reply. I'm cool with the injury delay but ................
I emailed him yesterday again, got the auto response - wonder if there is too much mail in his inbox?
Just heard back from Walter - they started production on my belt! First I've heard from them in five months. So, yeah; surgery caused a delay, very slow to respond to emails, but they DO eventually get back to you. Good thing chastity is so much about delayed gratification. We're all getting great practice

You'll just have to keep trying using the web form, Walter is very busy and focuses more on building belts than communication.

I ordered my belt 11/22 and was supposed to be shipped in 3/23. I have sent many emails without ANY responses at all, many came back UNDELIVERABLE. idK what is going on with this guy/? Does anyone have any more of his email addresses by chance?
Still no response for me. Email every few weeks even tried going through the site again and nothing. Very disappointing
Walter is still processing orders from 2022. particularly busy. I would say wait a little longer ;-) once you have your carrara belt. then you have it for the rest of your life
Thanks for that update- I had contacted him in 2022 and put down a deposit for a March 2023 production slot -but if he's still working on last year's backlog, will have to wait a bit more...
I have yet to hear from Walter or anyone from Carrara regarding my broken belt. They have actively started to post again on twitter and answer other peoples requests but continue to ignore mine. No idea what is going on with Carrara. Shame they treat their customers this way.
Still nothing from Walter or Clements at Carrara. From research I have done I guess there are many other people attempting to get answers from them as well and they have gone months with no answers. At the present time my Carrara is in a box in the closet acting as a 1K paperweight.
Finally got my belt delivered. 10 months it took but he came through! Nice 2.0 Concept with all steel edging and super steel thick 6 hinge belt waistband w/cable. This is a piece of Artwork and fits great! I had to do a little tweaking but its beautiful and and heavy duty. I have been in an Access Denied for over 25 yrs and this belt Walter makes is awesome! Wife loves it as she likes the "big gladiator look" as she calls it, very comfortable. Looks like I'll be locked in it pretty much full time other than work. Everyone said it takes him about a year but the belt is beautiful and all high polished finish.
hey.. Do you also have a photo of the belt? is this your first experience with carrara? you don't have rubber on the hip strap? regards
