Walter Goethals is the owner/operator behind Carrara Designs. The emails I get from him are Walter at carrara-designs.be and the name in the email is Walter Goethals.

Burg Waechter refers to the brand name of the little padlocks which Mario uses for the Latowski belt. I got the integrated/built in locks option since it had equivalent shackle protection to the Neosteel design. They aren't riveted in but are a chore to remove and put back in. Unfortunately this design strictly limits the lock body to 15mm wide by 10mm thick. The height of the body doesn't matter as much, however the shackle needs to be 10mm W x 12mm H. The lugs have grooves designed for a shackle thickness of 3mm. The most limiting factor for finding better locks is the 15mm x 10mm lock body constraint. I have only been able to find dinky 3 pin cylinder locks in this size.

If only the latowski utilized the neosteel design for locking mechanisms, it would be far more secure and easier to accommodate a variety of lock options (neosteel had even added a higher security dimple key as an option).

If you have ideas where I might be able to find more secure locks in a 15mm x 10mm form it would be helpful. As for the clear plastic pads integrated into the Latowski, they have a soft, rubber like texture to them.

It doesn’t seem like overkill at all to me, especially when it costs so much. Using a mold for measurement does not guarantee that the final product will fit perfectly. And there is also the issue of body measurements changing over time.

I can, with the obvious caveats of having to break in both your body and the belt first. It also has less air flow than the bare or some of the hannibal cages so more frequent showers or rinses, etc. are needed.

Yes, I had it and ended up selling it. I wanted more of a flat front and it does not do that. It is secure, a little pinching here and there, but under leggings, swimsuit, panties, it does not lay flat. You end up having a large bulge and it looks kinda funny in my opinion

I actually wear mine about 1 inch higher (vertically) on my waist than what is 'normal' for a BB belt. I had to remove the ring to do this. Wearing at the 'normal' height the bottom of the shield protrudes too far down and made it uncomfortable to sit in a chair, etc. It also interfered with all my underwear, as the extra downward bulge meant that all my panties were way too low on my waist ie: falling off.

As Inhershoes mentioned it's not perfect, but I found raising it up a little made things a lot better at least for me. It's never going to be as good as a nice tight tuck. I'm not sure there's really a belt that is.
