Hi, I have tried to make 24/ 7 wear work for me over many years - but failed for two primary reasons: 1 being able to sleep at night due to the discomfort of nightly erections 2 my "normal ego" not wanting to wear the device for running and climbing When running it can rub somewhat and become sore - use vaseline? Any advice gratefully recieved. Many thanks, simon
I'm new to it myself but supportive underwear can help. Maybe a jockstrap? I've never tried to run with a cage on so I can't offer advice about that. As far as erections during the night, getting up and peeing helps. You have to submit to your master/mistress to solve your ego issues.
As to sports related items, get sum support - a Jockstrap will do the trick. I'm an avid cyclist and I'm able to ride 50-100 miles without issue. I do use a chamois cream to avoid chafing, but the device is not the issue. As to the night time, the dia of the ring and tube are important. I went too small on the ring at first, but after moving to a ring just 1/4" larger, made a big difference. Also, no porn before bedtime! My main problem is an irritation point where the PA pin on my Lori #9 lifts my tip up a little when it tries to get hard. It pulls a little and an edema forms below it. Have not quite worked that one out yet. I hope I can, as the PA pin makes the #9 as close to escape proof as I can imagine. (image in profile is of morning wood)
I have found that putting a little bit of benzocaine and a little bit of silicone around the base to ease the skin from catching when the night time erections start. They Still wake me up and I have to use the bathroom a few times a night lately and that usually helps the erection go down. If you have a little silicone on the ring then you can reach down and pull your scrotum skin up through the ring. Hopefully over time you can learn to recognize the nighttime erections early and take care of them before they become too painful.
I have found J & J Baby Oil or coconut oil to be very helpful with 24 hour wear. To do physical activities like you describe your device needs to be well fit. Otherwise you will endure excessive chaffing or risk injury.
I have had some success with switching to a larger base ring for night-time wear (from 45mm during the day to 50mm). It is easier, or course if you have a hinged ring so one can keep the cage on and easily swap out the rest. The problem is that while the larger size is more comfy it also can result in 'testicle escape'.
Do not know if you are self locked or have a lover as your key holder. If you are self locked, you are in charge of yourself so odds are that you will never 24/7 for any long period of time. It is like being your own prison warden with the keys. If you do have someone you stay locked for out of love, then it is just a matter of getting used to it and not having access to the keys. The nighttime erection problems will eventually go away. I took me a few months before I could sleep with my device on. As for your other reason, There is nothing wrong with taking off your device when it is practical to do so. There is really no benefit to wearing a device when it will be a liability for something you are doing. It is supposed to be fun and a symbol of your love for your keyholder, or submission to a Mistress, not something that prevents you from doing what you normally do in your life. Even a Mistress would allow you to remove the device when engaged in activities that it would interfere with. Sounds to me like you are self locking and running into the same problem all self lockers do; trying to be your own warden which does not work since you are trying to deny yourself for a reason not larger than your wants. I would not wear my cage if my wife did not enjoy me doing so. I have been locked up 24/7 for over 4 years now and I take my cage off when it is not practical to wear it. I just powered through the nighttime erections until my body got used to it and the erections at night got less and less. I take it off when it is not practical to wear, which than makes it no big deal to wear at all other times which is about 95% of my time. There is no chastity rule book so we all get to make our own rules. No sense in making rules that you cannot or will not follow. The things we read online about chastity are mostly fantasy so do not try to live up to someone's fantasy sex life or ever their real life. Make your own chastity rules that you can adhere to and don't worry about it. If it was still uncomfortable to wear my Jailbird during sleep, I would take it off since it will not change anything. Good luck and if you do not have one already, find a keyholder that you can have some kind of relationship with so that you will power through any bumps in the road and give you permission to unlock when not practical. Find a new warden.
I got a piercing and a tube cage. More freedom, comfort, and security. piercing is not for everyone but it is what made 24/7 workable for me.
Especially climbing! i also never wear mine when on my motorcycle. Some gym time I do, but super heavy or other dangerous activities, just take it off and put it back on. Don't get too caught up in the 24/7/365 aspect. Be careful with all safety first. Your body deserves it.
a small, close-fitting device will help with both night time comfort and day time activities. Too big/long and you'll have more nocturnal erection problems, and it won't be as comfortable for activities like running. If a device fits well then it almost becomes 'part of your skin'.
I wore mine out for a 6 mile run today and didn't have any issues at all. I wear it under an athletic thong, though (a JM Skinz thong). That helps keep it compressed against the pubic bone so it's not shaking around and creating any issues.
