I have been overseas and been locked up using the # numbered plastic locks. Save all of them but Ma'am did not want to see so they were bined. One thing I have learned is the plastic locks allow great movement between the base ring and the cage. This stopped all chaffing and actually was quite comfortable to sleep in. I had this locking system for almost 2 months.
I am now back here in the good US and have been placed in the 'lock' mode with a traditional lock and key. I forgot just how different it is to be locked so there is no movement with the lock in place. The device is secure, heavy and with no movement 'chaffing' has occurred. with the lock and key I know all the time it is on as it is aggravating and difficult to sleep with it on.

Ma'am took it off for personal reasons last nite an allowed me to keep off till today to ease the chaffing. I am not sure that will be long enough but maybe she will look again this evening.

can you find a smaller lock that will allow similar free movement?

cayo Are you sure that the cause of your chaffing is the little padlock. Is it made of something from a blackhole?
