One of the problems with the CB range is the tinking noise and the added bulk of the padlock. This is particularly true of the CB6000s where the padlock sits on top of the head of the cage.

When I purchased my CB6000s from Love Up Love I opted for their resuable plastic lock. This has an internal screw within the barrel assembly which goes through the hole in the middle pin. The handle part which screws it in then unclips to be held by your KH, which makes it impossible to unscrew the lock. You need to use the next size pin up from normal (with the same size spacer as usual)to allow for the extra bulk of the barrel part.

The lock is secure, lightweight and removes both the tinking noise and the bulk of a padlock. Highly recommended (the only downside is that the handle part is quite small and, subsequently, more likely to be lost by your KH...)

Is that all plastic? Looks great, I have the same problem, not to mention, the lock is the part that sticks out the furthest, and I would eventually like to fly with it.

Yeah, it's all plastic so should be good to fly with too. Hadn't thought of that.

One could also wrap the padlock for the CB6000 with a rubber band or two, so that there is no clicking.

Yep, but it doesn't solve the bulk problem - particularly with the CB6000s. Anyway, this was just a public service announcement; it's not like I'm working on commission here...

I realize that it's not secure, but for those on the honor system, a nylon 'zip' tie works well.

Does the lock only come with one key?

Yes, that's my only complaint so far, well, that and the fact that it doesn't look like a key, and I could see a KH misplacing it or accidentally throwing it out forgetting what it was.

We just switched to the plastic lock last night, and cut the pins down so it's a much lower profile now with nothing oddly shaped sticking out, so there's no concern of showing, now it just looks like I've got a penis of normal size. It's nice for other reasons as i mention on my blog, www.chemicalchastity.blogspot.com.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, this is perfect for us.

Actually, if you request it at the time of the order, I'm fairly certain you can get multiple keys for a small fee. However since the key dimensions are changed on a regular basis, I'm afraid you can't get an extra one "after the fact"
