    Hi,

I'm currently developing an on-line application to help do some keyholding duties.

The principle of working is simple (I have a masterlock keysafe with 4-digit number lock; any number lock with ressetable code may be used):
    - you need a webcam
    - turn on some light, put the number lock in front of your webcam and ensure, that the numer on the lock is readable
    - push the "go" button - now the webpage stops displaying your cam preview (thanks to Flash, a webcam can be used for that)
    - set the lock to "reset" mode (setting a new number key)
    - without looking at the numbers: scramble the number lock so that the combination is random
    - put it in front of your webcam, take picture
    - the picture is saved in the system (it may be good to allow someone else to "review" the picture, ie verify if the number is clearly visible before proceeding)
    - close the keysafe, scramble the numbers again - now you're locked :)

The application may introduce some different "game logic", like: allow seeing the picture after certain, specified amount of time; allow seeing the picture after some random time; go to the webpage everyday,
take a random number and decide if it's a day of being freed, or some more days added to the total lockup time etc.

I'm writing this to ask you for feature ideas for this software. Suggestions both from keyholders and from chastity locked guys are welcome.
The app will be 100% free and available in the internet as a webpage.

personally i dont like the size of the combo locks on my device, have to wrap it & strap it down to keep it from moving around.

Use regular lock and put the key in one of those lock boxes Realtors use.

I like this idea, and hope it will work with a Mac. Ensuring that the number is readable or that the number digits are all "clicked" into place can be an issue. I was thinking at one time that someone, like a Domme, could watch over webcam, tell you when to stop twirling the digits, write the number down and then watch as you randomly twirl the digits again to make sure it is locked. But if there's no one looking there is a risk that the number is not clicked in properly. It seems like it would be easy to go up and down from the number a few places, even if it wasn't perfect. Even in the worse case, with a 4-digit combo lock, you can go through some 10,000 or so combinations and hit on the right one. It just might take a few days!

Hope you get this working, it will be fun to test out!

    Hello sniff.or.die,

you can also find some inspiration on cybermistress.org
And I think it would be wonderful to combine it with the chastitymansion.
You can for example offer your "key" virtually.

    Regards

    Leo

Beside the "TimeLock" application, there is one that leads you through setting the combo, like digit 1 up, digit 3 down, etc.. Its call MultiLock and keeps the combo hidden for a user specified time...

However, the Multi-Lock must be use with caution, as you could move the wrong digit, move it the wrong way,, move it more than once..

Your Idea, with a WebCam capture is JUST GREAT...

With the TimeLock software, you can call the application with a command line, specifying all the required variables, and the file that you want to encrypt..

A pre-application to the TimeLock application would be ideal, you app grabs the scrambled combo, passes it to the TimeLock program which encrypts it...

I would pay a modest fee for some app like this!!

Since I self lock, I use the MultiLock program to set the combo to the MasterLock keysafe, and then using a Scanner to scan the combo, and use TimeLock to encrypt the combo as a safety backup

Never heard of multilock. Googled it and downloaded it. I like it. But it is a little confusing at first. With the program, what we think of up is actually down and vice versa. Do not totally commit a lock or lock box until you play with it awhile. I mean the program gurls, tee hee. The net time server actually works on it. Different from timelock. I ain't got those servers to work yet.

HMM never thought of the scanner idea. Short cut from using digital camera.
