I just realised most magic locks are exactly the same. One key fits all. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having a lock. I have 3 locks from different merchants and their keys are identical. I don’t want anything fancy, but is there any magic lock out there that is bespoke and cannot be open by any random keys in the world?
I found this same to be true. My wife uses a wire with a security seal run through the I.D. to defeat this.
The lock that came with our Badass cage for the stainless steel magic lock can not be opened by any of the keys that opened the old brass locks we had from previous cages. We also had no issues with those older type keys and locks being able to work with each other
This is the real one. Much better keys and locking mechanism. https://www.steinlock.com/burg-wachter-me2-lock-blocker-for-furniture.html
Out of curiosity, have you tried picking it with a paperclip?? Basically all of the magic locks that I own can easily be unlocked by putting something small enough (a paperclip) into the lock and then push up (lifting the pins) causing it to unlock.
I suspect it can still be raked upon but functionally, the key and tumblers work more like a real lock. And as the saying goes, locks are for honest people.
I took a look at the keys profile. It looks exactly as week as my brass locks from the chinese stores.
You meant the option of keyed different? I read it as the opportunity to get different locks with different keys or a lockset with a masterkey.
the keys from the chinese sources are some type of Pot metal. The german version is a brass key. The lock body is also solid as opposed to having some strange holes on the bottom where the pins were inserted. The tumblers feel different when inserting the key. I think there are something like 250ish key combinations (4 pins x 4 heights per pin). I have one of the real locks and three or four of the copies. None of the copies open the real lock. In the end, it is $25 for the real on and I thought of ordering one for less time than posting this post. Was then and now a good purchase.
The main reason I am asking for a lock like this is that most locks that come with the chastity device are massively produced with an identical key, presumably based on the same prototype somewhere. I have 3 devices from 2 different manufacturers and therefore 3 keys at home, and they can all open each other. Even though my missus has the key to my current cage, she doesn’t know that the other keys can open the same cage, which makes the whole experience less interesting. I want to feel the powerlessness being locked without a key rather than thinking I can still secretly open the cage with any key I can find in the drawer or a click away from Amazon. (Not that I will cheat, but the sense that you could easily cheat just defeats the purpose.)
Yes I know this. We have had three /four locks - or so - and you could exchange the locks and keys. There is BDSM written on them. All of them were onepinner I guess. Easy to pick open. You dont need a key to get them open. I dont know the mentioned Burgwächter but I cant imagine they put in some spool pins. So you can easily open it with a paper clip or a DIY plastic rake.
