I just got a CK Short with Headlock made out of PA12. I have only ever had stainless devices that had a larger cage and I had to keep them lubed to prevent ball burn. Given that I don’t think I can get hard in this, is it necessary? i did start to hit it with a little sandpaper but Backed off because I have heard people say the texture makes it stay put. I can feel it but I’m not sure if it is a case of not wearing a device in a while or not.
Ok I sanded the ring. Much better. Now I think I’m feeling the side of the headlock ring that goes towards the base ring. Likely going to have to sand that down too.
Does sanding the ring made it slip more? What would you suggest after doing, would you do it again? I have just receive my first one and I am wondering if I should sand the ring or not.
I'd definitely sand the ring. The cage, I just smoothed a little bit. But you are correct, the texture is good for security and holding the ring in place.
note the above post came from this thread https://www.chastitymansion.com/for...erry-keeper-disappointment.40679/#post-443106 I sand the whole thing smooth moving up in grit from the 200s to 1000 or 1500 depending on what I have lying around. I like it smooth. It’s practically stainless steel smooth in feel. It does slip and slide more, sure, but IMO it’s more comfortable. I understand others like the eggshell roughness of the 3d print, but not me.
I've not an issue with the texture of the ring or cage. But i'm sure that is more a personal issue than many cage designs and materials.
Thanks for the feedback, I might sand the ring only because it is a 51mm and usually with a 49mm It's swelling and with a 50mm it hurts during the night only so I might want to smooth it to increase my chances of not hurting during the night. Edit : Woah yea I looked at those pictures of sanding, looks wayyy better!
