Hello everyone, I’m in a bit of a bind trying to fit my sub with our first cage. The tricky part is we are long distance thus I am relying on him to measure correctly.

We are very interested in a cherry keeper model, the 2020 valentines edition. The headlock sizing is a tad confusing, thus I wanted to contact Josie but was unable to through shapeways so here I am.

I’m not entirely confident in the measurements as my sub was struggling to stay completely flaccid throughout the process. Here are the measurements in inches, let me know if any seem odd and I should have him remeasure. I’m really seeking guidance on which headlock size to choose, or if I should consider a different cage altogether.

    Total length: 2.7
    Circumference: 2.7
    Diameter: 2
    Ring circumference: 5.5
    Head length: 1.3
    Head diameter: 2

I went with the medium headlock...I think all the measurements are on shapeways so all you need is to measure..doubt that helps much but all I can say for me the medium is the perfect amount of hold and not uncomfortable at all.

The headlock part is exactly what it sounds like I would wrap a string under the head... measure it... and go from there. Best luck.

    Measurement is crucial.

I bought 4 rings before I got close to a fit. The medium headlock is to short. I’ll be buying a longer cage and upgraded ring to the more expensive material.

I am going to be buying a custom metal cage. Most likely a Jailbird from Mature Metal.

Contact Lazlo he has more experience with Cherrykeeper’s than anyone I know. Know the colors fade fast.

inches or CM? The HeadLock dimensions are pretty clear, the larger, the smaller the opening is. Most of @JosieLynn Jewell 's cages on there spell out the headlocker size.. In theory, the head needs to fit inside the 'head' of the cage, then the locker fits just behind the head, the shaft is then behind that and in most cases, squished back. You'll really need to figure out how small of an opening his head can squeeze into, that will give you the inner diameter you are looking for in the headlocker.

I'll randomly drop back in to second this. I've had a touch stop short cage for 8 days, and it's amazing all the fading already.
