So I've been reading chastity threads for over 5 years now. I'm married and keep my kinks, including chastity, to myself. My wife would not have any interest and I'm not sure how far I would want to go with chastity anyway. Hence my interest in self locking. My interest in chastity comes and goes. At one point I bought a CB6000 and had some fun with that. I would wear it around the house and to work. But it was quite uncomfortable and really didn't satisfy the thrill or feeling I was looking for. Eventually I looked into full belts. In particular the Neosteel Arch and The Fun. Although I've never tried on a full belt I imagine that the feeling of a penis tube and crotch wire along with a steel waistband would be more satisfying as far as feeling "locked up" or "secured" and at the same time be more comfortable, even if only worn for a day or two or while sleeping. I get really turned on by the thought of even putting a belt on. My question is this...does that arousing feeling of putting the belt on and wearing the belt go away after you get used to it? Keep in mind my use which would probably involve not wearing it for a week or a month until my next urge strikes. Then I would probably wear it to work for a few days taking it off when I got home or multiple days if my wife happens to be away for a few days. I would hate to spend $1K and have fun with it a few times and only to have it feel "normal" when I use it again.

If you are going to self lock, you really need to find a way to restrict your access to the key. A Kitchen Safe is one way because you will have to destroy a $60 thing to get the key early but I would opt for keeping the key hidden in your wife's car so that you can only unlock when she is home.
I first started with chastity play with a keysafe modified with a timer. I used to set it up early in the evening for it to release the key just before I went to work... ‘till it didn’t one day! Now if my wife goes out for the evening I often deposit the key in her car. It’s much, much better if you have an interested key-holder!
Thanks for the replies, but I don't think my question was fully understood. I simply want to know if the thrill of putting a full belt goes away after you get used to it. I won't be wearing it long term...only for a full day and occasionally for 2-3 days. Just when I get the urge to "put it on" or "feel it on me".
Most people get an erection the first few times they try to put on a device but that goes away after wearing one often.
