For me, chastity isn't torture. At the beginning, the denial aspect is tough but I've quickly settled into a routine. I'm not in a full FLR but I've chosen to give over control of my sex life over to my wife. I'm not sure what your experience level is but a year of torture doesn't sound sustainable.
