    I think I prefer the day. But I did also like some of the other versions, now gone. One in particular had the useful feature of the up and down arrows on R.H side of posts in threads etc, which greatly assisted navigation.

    I am happy with both. A big thank you for the larger typeface, its far easier to read.

    The day theme has left and right limits / fixed width / width max (which is good) the night theme does NOT have the limits set ... no limits can make it look odd on extra wide screens (like mine) and make it a bit difficult to read ... suggest copying the limits on the day theme to the night theme.

    Home page, right side panel shows two instances of Users Chatting, one instance towards the top of the page and the other towards the bottom of the page.

    With these new changes I am now having difficulties navigating the site. It has become slow, very laggy, edit functions aren't properly working, and sit is jolting to other pages/posts/PMs unbidden. I wonder whether it is an overload on the current server till you install the new one

    Yes, it is very slow. It is because the caches needs to be rebuild, and that takes a long time.
    Expect it to much better in the morning. And of course the server upgrade will help:)

    I hope so. I just changed my avatar, but I didn't ask it to delete my old one which I expected to be restored to my pix. But it hasn't - it's removed it entirely. How do I get it back and put into my pix?

    Couple of ways ...
    first it is a place to put all definition and acronyms as related to Chastity ... FLR / MM / CFNM / etc

    another way is covering topics that are continually being brought up ... What are the Full Belts? ... How to measure for a cage ... Does MM make ???? ... Does Steelworxx have ???? ... Are there any good books to give my KH for them to read ...
    ​
    You can set it up to be member driven / admin driven / or "sponsor" driven ... for example ask MM to build out the WIKI page as related to their goods and then offer then a banner Ad that links to the WIKI page and on the WIKI page have a link to their website. ... I have been on sites that even have WIKI pages on members, that allows a bit more "information" that reads better then the profile page does. I'll use Andrew as an example, it could talk about him writing his book / novel and his experience with full belts and that he is working on a new full belt design.

    So I use the term WIKI very loosely to imply a reference area.

    I think that if you use Chastitymansion.com as a landing page and then have links to the Forum and the wiki (or what ever) you will be able to guide new members more effectively to areas that are of interest to them. As a side note to this, if you can set the forum to open each section as a page (https://www.chastitymansion.com/forums/index.php#chastity-devices.68 for example) instead of a page marker as it currently is, you could again direct members to their areas of interest much more effectively.

    There are more than a few simularities here.
    wiki or article system - is pretty much the same. I was thinking of articles outside of the forum - in fact on a website frontend, so I see that we pretty much are heading in the same direction:)
    But Let me see if the wiki system perhaps could be used to feed these external pages with content by the means of a Xenforo/ wordpress bridge....

    I think a wiki would be good for things like device reviews and discussion, particularly with the plethora of Chinese devices now available. Currently, reviewing a device means starting a whole new forum thread, so the information is more scattered than it needs to be.

    I seem to have two issues here unable to resolve:

    1. On that change-the-theme page given in the opening post, there's visibly available "Default" by text link and "Night CM" together with a little icon. My login seems to be set to Dark and no matter which I choose, it stays there. I can't pinpoint any differences between those. Or am I doing something wrong?

    2. The signature ticker generator seems to have a problem with transparency areas and small fonts:

      This is although a screenshot from the editor but it looks alike in the signature itself. I didn't scale anything, this is a 1:1 screenshot unedited. I don't know whether it's better in the a light theme since I can't set it.
    Any help, hints?

    I have enabled the day theme. The night theme is still the default for new members.

    if you set it in your account preferences I would think it will stay to which ever you choose ... unless every time it gets worked on and saved that it resets everyone's default to dark

    Ah, wonderful. Changing the theme setting in the preferences did work. Problem #1 solved. Thanks a lot.

    The other issue persists. There's a problem with transparent colors and small fonts of the ticker on dark backgrounds.

    Everyone is having the same issue ... it has to do with the new theme CSS and colors etc ... Jens is aware and commented on it somewhere ... so I assume it is on the list to resolve ... but I guess keep reminding him

    If you look at your image ... http://www.chastitymansion.com/ticker/tickers/xdx8xs5u10xgvk6j.png ... it is fine ... but the theme is messing with the trasperancy behind the letters ... I was playing will BB Code to try and put a background color under the image, but BB code appears to be limited currently and HTML is turned off ... otherwise I could have gave you a code fix.
