If you have one of those steel chastity devices (typically from DHGate/AliExpress/eBay/etc.) with an optional urethral insert where you screw it on with a nut (no pun intended!) on the outside of the cage and you find the nut coming loose take the cage off to fix it.

I found mine coming loose. I figured that if it came loose enough to fall off, there was a danger of the insert then being pushed inside me and possibly causing damage. So I decided to tighten the nut, and kept tightening it until it wouldn't tighten any further.

All went well for a while but then I started noticing some pain. I tried sticking it out (chastity isn't meant to be "fun", etc.) but then figured I should take it off just to make sure (or I may have just let the pain act as justification to do so, which might be the wrong thing to do but in the end I was glad I did).

Now, this cage isn't easy to put on at the best of times as it's a bit tight, but it was much more difficult to take off then usual. When I eventually took it off, I found out why:

the urethral insert had twisted inside the cage
As I was twisting the nut, it was also turning the insert inside the cage... and hence, inside me.

Luckily, there was no blood or anything, but it's still sore and tender 24 hours later.

I'm actually using an insert I have from the cage next size up from the one I'm wearing at the moment, as the one it came with has the ball on the end right under the base ring, which isn't comfortable; by using a longer one it goes inside me a bit deeper (more like the length the Steelworxx ones have).

As such, all these inserts are just put through a larger hole at the end of the cage and then secured on the outside.

Having it actually attached to the cage itself would indeed be better. One of my main interests with this cage, however, was to see whether I liked having the insert in there; now when I get the funds to buy a custom cage I can get one with the insert fixed permanently.

@hijk if you has one that wont come off it means you has to have it on for a long long time and it dangers to do that cos little bits of stuff gets on the tube bit inside you.

Great advice and warning, though I thought that mistake was an obvious one that people wouldn't make ;-) hehe
Mine hasn't unscrewed as yet but I'm sure with age I'll have a screw loose!! Good one.

Even if the insert is removable, how do you take it off without removing the cage?

Doesn't unscrewing that require the whole insert turning? Thus giving the same problem I described above (even worse actually, as in my case some resistance was given).

no it don't cos it is all loose from the tube thingy. it hard to says but its like on the tube thing but all loose. so when its unscrew it don't make the tube turn.

i have had minor trouble attaching the tube to the cage, but only in trying to keep it straight & in line with the direction of the cage. Much like the original poster said, the tube wants to rotate in the direction you turn the nut to tighten it. This leaves it inserted on an angle. i found that making the nut snug with the tube in a slightly crooked direction first, then tightening it fully, will twist the tube & leave it in the correct direction.

If the nut cums loose just use locktite or super glue .

Make sure it's dry or could put a new twist on permanent chastity !
Give it nice wash and Robert is a close relative !!
