There it was sitting on the table when I got home. My wife and I had an event to attend so we had to leave when I arrived at the house. On the trip over, I asked her 'did you see what came in the mail?' She answered, "Is that what I think it is?". Yes it is. The topic didn't go much further than that. When we got home I started opening the box. "You might as well put that away because you can't play with it until I say so. You're locked up. I guess I have to come up with a plan to unlock you, have some fun and lock you up again." Who am I to disagree? She tapped in her phone coordinating something that only a mom understands and stopped, "you're just dying to get into you're new cage aren't you?" I had said nothing but I had drawn closer to her which was what gave me away. 'It is beautiful isn't it?' "Very shiny. Now let me put it away." She found a new way to deny new tonight. Six weeks waiting for this extravagant purchase and I'm still waiting.
Congrats on your arrival. Remember once it is on it is her choice to remove it. I love my MM jailbird and the service I get from Mature Metal.
Enjoy the wait. Once it's on it may never come off again. No need to take it off for cleaning. If you got the size correct you will be able to wear it forever. My wife loves mine and it has been on for six weeks at a time. She feels that is about the right timing.
To harden into wearing your cage ,you might coat the metal areas of the rings with Vaseline . After showering your skin will be moist and that creates a lot of friction. It took about 2 weeks for me to harden up , but I often use a fine coating of Vaseline ,as even now a rash can form from friction.
@nikkel No worries for me and steel. I have had a variety of cheap Chinese cages for the last 18 months so I'm fully acclimated. The Jail Bird is SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE than any of the cheap knock offs, I wish I could explain it or understand what they do at Mature Metal but it is everything I had read from other owners. I still struggle with spending the money, I'm cheap. A custom unit with a proper fit is a good investment. Less than two days in and so far so good.
