    :) Very happy atm but a question for you........
    I was recently reading an article that gave definitions of a Mistress, then a Goddess.
    My situation is that I am in love with my life partner/slave.
    I am very thoughtful of him and care very deeply what happens to him.
    We play hard and sometimes a little rough but the bottom line for me is that he doesn't get hurt.
    He strives for my happiness but deep down I wish for his too, I love him afterall.

    So there begs the question...
    Which one do you think I am?

    im just a sub , go for what suits you.i would think a mistress would be easer becuase a goddess has no flawes.at least in my imagination

    The simple fact is that you love your partner and that is the most important thing, what you call yourself is really immaterial as long as you both enjoy what you do. People seem to want to put labels on things these days which I find mildly disturbing.

    If you are happy together and love each other then you have more than many other people in the world.

    I agree, in my book a Goddess is faultless in the eyes of her sub. A Mistress is the sub's dominant partner and obviously rules the roost despite her faults, warts and all.

    Mistress Deborah asked the question as I have started to read a book ...in the book it has two definitions one for Goddess and one for Mistress and from what I have read it basically suggests that if there is love in the relationship and its not all about pain with no reward then is Goddess ... which I think means to me Mistress Deborah should be Goddess Deborah but to others she is Mistress Deborah...

    My Wife prefers "Goddess." Her enjoys the fact that i worship Her. Can a Goddess have faults? Of course She can, read a little Greek mythology. A Mistress is feared. A Mistress can Top any man, but a Goddess is a Goddess only to the man or men who worship Her. A Goddess can be kind, although cruel on occasion and She cares deeply for Her worshipers while remaining above them. But as others have said, in the end it's all about what You and Your submissive(s) find gratifying.

    My decision is that to my slave I am Goddess and to others I am Mistress.
    I like the sound of Mistress better- it sounds a lot stricter !
    I obviously have a softe side bit that is saved fory special boy x

    What I was trying to type was that I have my softer side which is seen by my partner/ slave and with whom I can be gentle at times, but wicked when needed !

    Hello..long time between communications. I think most of the posters have expressed great comments. To me titles are fine, but often obscure the dynamics in a very close relationships. You and yours know who you are and what you represent to them, the title you wish to be called is only a word, but their actions of devotion, respect, care and total submission and the proof of their awe and love for you. As you grow and get more comfortable in your life and role the title you choose will be reflected in the confidence you have in yourself. Frankly I would kiss the ground you walked on if you were just Deborah :)..very respectively submitted of course.

    In Google what comes up for Goddess initially is Noun
    1.A female deity.
    2.A woman who is adored, esp. for her beauty.

    So I think You could be Goddess Deborah in the daytime/vanilla situations, then Mistress Deborah in evenings/FD situations. So first & foremost You will always be Goddess to philfred, but also his Mistress at the same time! You could also have your own code if in public or family situations GD - Goddess Deborah, MD - Mistress Deborah. Could be handy too if sending a text. Also very easy/innocent explanation if quieried - GD Gorgeous Deborah - MD - M'Lady Deborah - or any other variation!

    Mistress: - apart from the modern definition i.e. the other woman - older meaning:- 'A woman who has power, authority, or ownership: as. a : the female head of a household'!!

    I think of Goddess as a spiritual thing.Whereby you worship the spirit of your mistress.I always refer to her as Goddess because that's what she likes.

    I think whatever you are most comfortable with is best. We are just starting after 32 years of vanilla marriage and I call him Darling in private and public when I want him to do something and he better reply with yes Dearest.
