I'm still figuring out a million things here, but one that I'm kind of stuck on is this- when I measure myself for a base ring, I come up with 24 cm circumference, which equates to a 3" ring. Even if I assume I'm measuring a bit off and it's really a little smaller, I still need something much larger than 2", which seems to be the largest that anybody bundles with their cage. Since I tried out a cheap cage with a 2" ring ( which was extremely difficult, and seemed to be cutting off circulation ), I believe it's reasonably accurate. However, I am sure that I can't afford a custom cage- or even a custom ring from some vendors. Is there another option I'm not thinking of to fix this? Anybody who affordably sells 3" rings, or another way to handle this problem that I haven't figured out yet? Any help would be appreciated.
A quick update- almost right after I posted this, I got some stuff that I'd ordered to try, and have at least a temporary workaround here. At least I can put the device on for a few hours. If someone knows some possibilities for better options over the longer term, I'd still be glad to know, but at least I'm not in a panic trying to get it handled for Locktober.
Look at the Cherry Keeper. Contact Josielynn if you don’t see the size you need. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/josielynn-s-body-jewellery
I always thought I needed a larger ring until my first ball slip, and it hurt!! I immediately emailed Mature Metal, where I got my device. They suggested I get a smaller ring, they were right. Whether you go MM or Cherry Keeper, as mentioned above, I would suggest talking to them and getting their input. Good luck
Also, keep in mind that it is normal to need a smaller ring after a few weeks locked 24/7 so it can be beneficial to get a slightly smaller one as well.
I'd not even contacted MM, because I assumed that I wouldn't be able to afford them. Didn't occur to me to talk to them anyway - thanks for the idea. I bet they will have some good advice.
Good luck on your search. Some brands offer sizing rings to try too. Selecting the right size ring is the first thing you'll find most difficult about locking up in a chastity device.
They did give me help after I purchased my cage of course....You can at least buy size rings as @MissyB mentions.
I'm interested in the cherry keeper, so I do plan to check that out. I also thought this comment was interesting: After some further experimenting, it seems that I can use a much smaller ring than I measured, though it's still a little over 2". I've got a workable solution for now, so - into the breech of my first Locktober, while still exploring other possibilities. Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions.
It can take some time to find the goldilocks size. I can’t wear 2 inch (51mm) for any length of time, but eventually found just 3mm bigger is just right for me. Cherry keeper is a good idea, there’s a huge range of ring sizes available.
You could try this store for sizing rings as well. https://www.etsy.com/listing/962190696/various-size-cock-ringsizing-ring-for
Thanks for the continued ideas to help. After some further experimenting, I've figure out that my measurement - around the base of the penis and below the scrotum - was a little farther back on the scrotum than where the ring rides, which made it a bigger measurement. I'm still a bit above 2" somewhere, but have settled in on something that's working pretty well. I ended up purchasing a bon4m, and asked them to give me a set of their largest rings. I found that their rings- being wider and a different shape - fit differently. I can wear their 52mm ring, but it's a bit too tight and worries me. Their rings step up by 2mm, so I tried the 54mm- and that was more comfortable. The 54mm slips a bit, and is plagued by the "Ball Escape" problem. When standing for a while, it slips a bit and becomes uncomfortable unless I adjust it back up. My latest change is to adjust the spacer to narrow the distance between the ring and the cage. This seems to have mostly done the trick, though there's still some slippage to deal with. I've also been concerned about some restriction of circulation- I'm still not sure it's working OK, but the scrotum isn't turning purple as it did with the cheap thing at the beginning. I still see some veins that might be slightly swollen when I'm wearing it for a few hours or more. So- I'm still working out the details, but hoping this will get fixed through either adaptation or added support of the cage. I've started experimenting with tight, pouch-style underwear to provide it with some support- that seems to work somewhat. The underwear setup does make the cage somewhat prominent, so I'm not sure I'll find any of them that will be wearable in vanilla places. I'm also planning to experiment with a belt / strap to help hold it in place. If that works out, I guess I've found a solution for now. I'm still planning to try the Cherry Keeper, as I expect it might fit better and be more comfortable anyway over the long term. So many things to try. Just hoping I can get through our Locktober OK. Good luck to all.
