I've been wearing the Steelworxx Steelheart for about three weeks straight now and have written up a comparison between it and the CB-6000 on my blog. You can read it here: http://denyingthumper.com/steelheart-vs-cb6k/ Bottom line is, the Steelheart is vastly more customizable with regard to fit and I've found it to be much easier to live with, but it's probably not a good starter CB and requires accurate measurements before ordering. Also, I've had the device modified to provide comfortable yet highly secure integration with my PA ring. I'd appreciate any feedback or comments!
I think that you have produced a very well written blog that many people will find very useful. Well done for taking the time out. BB
A great review. I wear a modified Steelworxx revenge with added belt. I have used a similar solution for security but the thick steel wire is external and locked in place with the integral lock. My question is do you find the PA ring gets stuck between the inside of the cage and your security loop? Does it stop you moving up and down freely? That was the reason I went with the outside option in the end with just a few strong chain links on the inside. I have to open the ring to attach the link which can be fiddly and is why I'm required to do it. If I could use your method, which looks simpler, Mistress could put the device on herself which she would prefer. I need strong cutters to break free of my device, and couldn't do much even if I cut the wire because of the steel plate welded to the ring which the harness fixes to, but yours seems even more secure with the loop inside. The only real way to take the device off is to drill out the brass integral lock, not a process I will ever try for obvious reasons! Mat
It moves very freely. After 3 weeks of wear, it never pulled or got stuck once. Even when cleaning (when the tube gets pushed around a lot) the ring moved perfectly freely as if it wasn't even on the fixing. I've found it to be the perfect solution for me.
That's good to know. Thanks for that. Having spoken to Mistress my next alteration will be to get that fitted. Mat
I just took delivery of a Steelheart 2 (I posted a review of in the equipment review forum). I agree that it is a great device. My other device is a Jail Bird, so the closed construction and urethra tube feels really nice. It would be a good first steel device for someone transitioning from a CB or Holy Trainer who wants that "total coverage" feeling.
