I have a developing issue after wearing my Holy Trainer, with regular breaks for hygiene, for just over two years. All of a sudden I have started developing regular sores on the shaft of my penis. They are basically nappy rashes and incredibly itchy, so much so that last week I broke the skin of my penis scratching and had to be left unlocked for almost a week so I could heal. The device went back on and two days later the sore was back. It has happened again this week. I have learnt how to keep myself clean as my Wife lets me out at least once a week for a shower, and drinking plenty of water dilutes my urine which stops the smell issue. When I take the HTv2 off I give the device a good clean in hot soapy water and use an old toothbrush to give the area by the slits a good clean. It isn't enough though, and over the two years the inside has become stained and rough. Does anyone have any tips about how to clean the inside of the Holy Trainer? I have been gentle with it, so the roughness is from the residue build up not from scratches, but I cannot help but think that this residue has something to do with the sores on my locked up penis.
I had exactly the same issue! When I thought the skin had healed on the shaft I popped it back on and within a short time it has split again! Since then I was twice a day with Femfresh and even use their wipes along with a cotton bud! Hope that helps
I moved to Chinese metal cage - The skin gets trapped looses it stretchy the longer it stays locked I would in time get small tears whe. When ever I would get unlocked - I would go 30-100 days and never unlock - I used spongeswab and shower soap in my daily shower- But over time the trainer ring and connection would get loose - so after. 2 years I can across a small metal cage - I converted to metal the price was inexpensive
Are you disinfecting the ring and tube? I would wash my v2 twice in hot water then would use a 10percent bleach and water mix then rinse in hot water to disinfect min. Unfortunately it still had an odor.
Still wearing my HT as the "everyday device" as I haven't encountered any problems. Maybe it just relates to the two main issues I discovered by trying out fantastillions of devices: the open ones (with bars and such) will force your skin to bulge out and thus being nasty due to abrasion on that bulges. The closed ones will save you from that, but they aren't ventilated enough, so your skin tends to be "pickled in your own juices"! But apart from that "wisdom": if a device is "rough" on the inside it shouldn't be worn any more!
Hi Jasmic, I’m amazed you’ve been able to be in the HT for long periods of time over the last two years, I find it a great short term device, but, I agree with the suggestion that you go to a steel cage, they’re so cheap now and good quality. Getting the regular air flow via the open design of the steel cage, I’m sure you’d notice a big difference. Cleaning is dead easy in the shower, it really never needs to come off.
I have worn my HT2 for the best part of two years and before that wore for long periods a well known metal device and the HT has been far better
I assume you mean soaking my Holy Trainer in vinegar, not my penis! Thanks for the tip, I hadn’t thought of that.
I am hoping to swap to a metal device some time this year but every time we get close to ordering one a big unexpected bill has come along and eaten up our savings. My Wife has chosen the Looker 2, she doesn’t trust the metal and workmanship of the cheap Chinese devices. The longest I have been kept locked up in the HT was two weeks though usually I tend to be let out once a week. During the summer I can be let out once ever three or four days due to the smell that can build up.
I would have to be careful using bleach as I am mildly allergic to it. I do use a spray disinfectant on the insides of the tube which I leave for a bit then rinse out. I’m thinking that perhaps if nothing else I need a new HT tube. I’m not sure about the new design though, it has received mixed reviews. I would like to try a metal device though, I was never successful with finding one that fit comfortably when I was starting.
Thanks for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it. You have given me a few things to try out and see what happens.
