Hi all...being a new users here I am been trawling through the back posts but still have a question that is unanswered... I have bought a birdlocked regular...and able to pull out so that has rubbished it straightaway in my mind....so with that in mind I have been looking at Gereckes Twister II (not that they have replied to the 2 emails I have sent over the past 12 days...but anyhow...does anyone have any experiances with Gereckes products and indeed the company? In pulling out of the birdlocked have you done this by pulling out between the cage and ring or by pulling out behind the ring? Also, were you able to get back in afterwards? - if not you are busted anyway! (I have ordered a birdlocked with a view to modifying it to improve its ease of fitting and, if possible its security)
Hi...and thanks for the reply...I was able to pull out via the behind the ring...but someone suggest not lubbing up too much when fitting the cage...which I have now tried...I now just lube the internals of the ring and nothing else and this seems to do the trick... I doubt I could get back in I must admit...so busted is busted... ps....I have yet to disclose 'my dirty' secret to the girlfriend yet...afraid I suppose. Cheers Dave.
We were looking at buying a Gerecke, but were also not impressed with the lack of response to emails (apparently he was ill?!?!?!) We therefore looked at Steelworxx, who have a VERY similar range! Let us know how you get on. And it's not a "dirty" secret! Get rid of any feelings of shame and guilt before you present the idea to your girlfriend...
