One knuckle under ring rule

not sure of the answer but I believe the 1 knuckle rule is for novices, just a starting place.

 

I agree, this is a very standard rule that will probably work for everyone. Something I would like to add here is experience.

When I first started, I found it extremely difficult to get a 2-inch ring on... then notice it was loose, and then to a 1 7/8 inch... then to a 1 3/4 inch... then to a 1 5/8 inch... switch to a new device that uses a ring that had a smaller thickness and had to go back up to a 1 3/4 inch ring. After wearing it for roughly 3 years the 1 3/4 ring works amazing when my balls are high and tight, but by the end of the day, I wish the ring could shrink to 1 5/8 inches.

I guess what I am trying to say is, nothing is going to be perfect all day... you have to try your best to find what works for you at the moment.

 

As long as it doesn’t hurt, cause numbness or turn dark, it’s not too tight.
