im ordering the jailbird and judging by the previously owned cb6000,
im exactly between 2 rings: 5/8 and 3/4 - according to the mature metal's website there it NO measurement between the two options, what are my options?
    Thank you!

I'm sure if you have a word with MM they will oblige.

I have been told that it is better to go with the smaller ring, as the body will adjust to the smaller ring after some time of wearing the cage.

What you don't want to do is cut off the blood flow. Mistress B is correct - check with MM to explore your options.

They will do rings sizes in between if you ask them to. They did for me.

That's awesome, i will check with MM, and if i can get the size between it would be great.
What was your custom size? Do i email or order and just write a nite with the order?
Very exciting feeling to be ordering this.

Email them and ask. They should explain how to proceed from that point.

You can request an in between measurement under the comment section of the order. You will have to pick a standard size to complete the order process. An in between size can never be adjusted later, a new ring will have to be ordered. We only adjust standard size rings.
If you have any other questions, feel free to email maturemetal@grandecom.net
    Thanks

They took my 1 3/4" (44.5mm) and increased it to 46mm. You wouldn't think 1.5mm would make that much of a difference but it does.

    Good Luck.

I think metal rings differ greatly from plastic ones. I was wearing a 2" base ring on the cb6000s. I ordered a 2" and a 1 7/8" base ring for my Queen's Keep. The 2" ring was too big and I used the 1 7/8" ring with no problem. At some point a ball slipped through that ring and so I had the 2" ring resized to 1 3/4". At first it seemed too small because it would burn after a few hours, but after some time it has become completely comfortable. It's important to lube the base ring 2 or 3 times per day or it will eventually irritate the skin, regardless of size.

So while the cb can give you a general idea of sizing, it's not perfect. MM's sizing rings would probably be better although I get it, I didn't order them either. I felt a little squished width-wise in the cb, and almost ordered a 1.5" diameter for the qk, but chose 1 3/8" at the last minute. Very glad I did, as 1.5" would have been way too big. I just ordered a 2nd MM device, and I decided to go down another size to 1 1/4" diameter.

The beauty of having two devices is that you can send one off for adjustments and still not be without!

Just thought I would pop in and say that anytime you feel a burning sensation it is always the gap. If you feel burning after a day or so we suggest to widen the gap a half size. But if you feel burning after only an hour or so then you need to go one full size bigger. Also the adjustment is only $10.00 inside the US and most of the money is spent in shipping. Also if you send it back for a gap adjustment we will normally take 3 to 4 days after receiving it and it is headed back to you.

I respect your opinion MM but there are other things that cause burning. If you don't keep your base ring lubed it will burn. Also a few hairs caught can cause a burning sensation. It seems obvious to veterans to lube up but when I first got your device I thought (with stainless steel) maybe I wouldn't need much or any lube. That was incorrect. Now I lube 2 to 3 times a day and there is never any burning. In my case the gap was just fine.
