I've read a few mixed reviews on the keypod. Any tips and advice on using it welcome.
I’ve got two. One backup. I love it. It is a bit quirky if you go into hardcore mode. But if you don’t do hardcore mode it’s pretty straight forward. It’s small and does the job. Yes you can open it if you break into it. But then the KH knows you’ve done wrong. If you have any specific questions, feel free to message me.
What's Hardcore mode? I don't mind being able to break into it. That could be called for in an emergency. Not being able to casually open it or guess/remember a combination is the big thing for me.
Hardcore mode kills your ability to drop the key holder as the sole controller of the unit. You can hit the button to prompt them to open it, but you can’t just remove their control and open it. They have complete control.
Ah ok, I had assumed they'd restrain control once you passed it to them anyway. I guess being able to withdraw it is good if you're unsure of the keyholder early on.
Been using it on softcore mode for about 6 months. Unbind keyholder option never been used, it's about the same as breaking it open. I would have to go grovelling to my kh with whatever lame excuse I had for pressing it. Then would have to have the conversation about why I would want to be locked by her again and if I would obey this time then have her register as master again. That's a conversation I've had before and don't want to again so not really an option.
