Curious to hear what the consensus is around using epoxy resin to give the 3d print a more glossy look. According to Amazon, it's FDA compliant food safe coating, but I don't know if that means putting it on my privates is safe. I'm wanting to use a baby pink color but the rough look kind of ruins the aesthetics. I can sand but it still has a dull appearance. I'd only be applying this to the ring and outside of the tube.

Probably ok, though I would look more into resins used for medical devices like making dentures or retainers.

Another option, after sanding use a lighter to flame polish the surface. Don't let the flame sit in one place too long or the plastic will scorch and cool it frequently (cold water works well) as it will start to deform once it has absorbed enough heat.

Thanks, I had heard about the heat gun trick. I'll try that first and see how it looks.
