As the title says, I have a really great fitting cage and generally no issues wearing, feel like the gap is perfect, but… about a week or so wearing I get this one small spot (see the pic) that gets a little red/irritated and causes me a lot of discomfort to where I have to remove for a couple days and then back in. Wondering if it’s an ingrown or irritated hair follicle or something and better yet how to prevent?

Probably ingrown hair from shaving. I use Coochy brand shaving cream to reduce bumps and irritation down there.

    Smells girly and works. Amazon!

Thanks will check it out…odd part is it’s been about a week since I’ve shaved. Wife really doesn’t want me out of the cage if possible and I can “power through” with adjusting things now and then but wasn’t sure if I should, or if it’ll resolve without removing it.

Take your time, make yourself comfortable when it hurts. Good hurt vs. bad hurt.

I think i have the same problem on the exact same place. It's not that bad that i have to stop wearing it but it's very irritating. I've stopped shaving but that didn't help. I wear a plastic cage (very light) while it's there and use calendula cream until it's better (2 to 3 days). I'm very curious why it's always that same place. I want to try a cage with a double base ring to see if thats better.
It's happening less now than when I started so I'm hopeful it will get better and better.

Love to hear your experience with a double base ring… @Gonzo

I think an oval may solve my issue, or maybe using hair removal cream (have done before with good success), rather than shaving. Shaving is just faster.

Would love to try some oval rings some day.
I've just glued a 45mm ring (don't have two 40mm rings) to the back of a 40mm ring from a cheap cage to try how that goes. Maybe it's better because the pressure is spread out. Maybe it's worse because of more weight.
    Keep you posted.

I'm now wearing the double ring for about a week and it's much better than expected. I had a bit of a sore spot when i started and that whent away while wearing it. Especially in the morning when the bals are high up and everything is tight its really comfy. No burning sensation and no need to shift the ring. Downside is the aded weight. In the evening i wear a strap to keep up the heavy thing. For me its clear this is the solution and I'm saving up to let my custom cage remaked with double ring (front 40mm and rear 45mm) in titanium.
Hope you find something that works for you.

Finally got my oval ring back from Mature Metal…GAME CHANGER. Will see how this continues to go and may consider a double.

    Cool. Is it horizontal oval?
I hope it's the solution for you.

Yes, horizontal…I’m amazed at how much different the cage feels. And I never get the skin under the sac bunched or folded that was causing issues. So more room, but still pretty secure and the boys aren’t able to slip out despite the roomier feeling. Wife LOVES it as I’m not complaining about skin issues or needing to get out, so…sounds like I’m in it for the long haul.

Forgot to ask: Can you elaborate on the size. Is the oval ring the same size just bend to oval or is it the same hight and more wide? I wear a 40mm and that's pretty tight in the morning but if i use a 45 my bals slip through so an oval version for me would have to be 40 high and like 43 wide?

Mine is slightly smaller on the height measurement than the round ring, and obviously wider. So in effect it’s much more roomy (or feels that way), yet I never have any issue with “ball-slippage” that I would if the whole thing was the same circumference as the oval width would be.

Thanks for the response. Do you have exact numbers? Like for example 40mm diameter round and 38 high 43 wide for the oval. Would realy help me to make a calculated guess what is best for me to test out.

I don’t…mine is a Mature Metal, and contacting them for example, they can help determine.

Sorry I don’t have exact info, but your above assessment is pretty close…40mm round may be a 38 (top to bottom) and 43 (side to side)…at least that’s the basic concept. I know MM can custom make any size/shape.
