I guess it depends what you mean by bulging. If the cage is too tight and you are hard for a long period of time, you can build up edema in between the gaps. These look like little puffy spots that don't really shrink up when you return to flaccid. It happens to me if I bulge between gaps in a flaccid state.

Anytime I've seen something like that forming, I take the cage off until they clear up, usually a few hours. Since I've started wearing cages that don't cause any bulging when flaccid, I've not had this issue.

Some bulging when I get hard, but then when I go soft again, its basically the skin just bunching up in the spaces. I had a small indentation from one of the bars, but that seems to be going away. Guess I should remove and take a closer look.

Well good thing I took it off. Damn thing started to rust and was beginning to adhere to my skin. Jesus christ. If I had left this on another day probably would have been a nightmare scenario.

Sorry to triple post. But everyone should make sure that the device they have is not damaging their skin in spots that it isn't visible! This is pretty messed up. The amazon device says that it is stainless steel, so its false advertising. I feel pretty ripped off and mad. I have blisters now. This shouldn't have happened.

There are different grades of stainless. The best won't attract a magnet. The grades used on Chinese devices is like that used on 'stainless' steel outdoor grills. Good enough to allow the claim but nowhere near surgical standards.

It is probably chrome plated mild steel. Very bad news. The chrome can flake and get under your skin.

Stay away from Chinese models. They use the garbage for materials. In the end you get what you pay for....

Surely the bunched up flesh will pinch painfully against the bars when in clothing?

I swell thru my cage when my wife teases me. It's a little uncomfortable and it turns my wife on see it and knowing I'm in some pain. When she's finished with me everything goes back in place. However, I have had small areas of edema. When that happens I use a cotton swabs and move the swollen areas away from my cage openings and it goes away. I'm not circumcised and my foreskin is the only portion that swells.

I find that just adjusting the skin where it touches the edge of a device (run your finger under the edge or around the hole helps, but do it regularly, don't wait till there's inflammation or abrasion showing.
