I was looking around the CB-x.com website, and they have added a couple new things for this year:
    - A Chrome version of the CB-6000s. No camo or wood versions, though.
    - Two larger ring sizes! 2 1/8 and 2 1/4 are now available.

The Chrome 6000S, doesn't appeal to me too much. But the larger base rings? That's something that I've wondered if I needed before. I might actually get one to try.

You should be looking at smaller sized rings not larger.

Something that would worry me about the chrome finish: Having had plastic objects in the past with a chrome-finished surface (not CB devices...just normal things...toys, keychains, etc.)...that chrome finished eventually begins to flake away. Does anyone have any experience with this with the CB chrome finished device? Or, for that matter, any of the CB devices that have a finished surface other than bare, clear plastic?

i have the cb6000 in camo color but its paint not chrome plating.
i would think that the chrome plating would start to peel and that would be a big "ouch"
i've worn the paint off in places especially around where the lock rubs .
but it'll probablty split first before it starts to peel the chrome finish off.
just my opinion though....could be wrong

*blushes* Well, I do need larger rings, but, if they ever released an extra-small tube, I'd try that out. :sad0064:

I don't know about the chrome finish either. I do enjoy the idea of not seeing in the tube, although, for medical reasons I think it'd be safer to be able to see more of everything, not less...

Oh, how I wish I could get into smaller rings. I'm on the 2nd size down but can't safely go any smaller.
