I'm all for being whatever you want to as long it doesn't affect me and does no harm in general. That said I'm surprised feminists are so quite on this topic.
Do you think having a man pretending to be a woman as UK champion for women does no harm in general? I can imagine him in the womens bathroom, standing to piss, and saying "Alright love, good women's conference innit?" Or standing up for “empowerment of women equality globally within civil society, government and the corporate sector” with "Yeah, us women need more equality". It's like having Ton Bliar as a middle east peace envoy.
Only issue I really have with it is sports. Say my daughter works and trains hard her entire life to compete at an olympic level for example. Then gets beaten by a biological male with bigger lungs, muscles etc. That's blatantly not fair.
That's old world thinking. I think it's perfectly fair for a man larping as a woman to compete against old school women since women are inferior to men in far too many ways to list. I do think the old school women need to know when to quit earlier to save themselves the embarrasment of losing though, especially in MMA.
