Get the room warm. Have some nice essential oils if possible, rose, lavender, Lang y lang. Mix a few drops of each with some almond oil. Trim your nails, and rub your hands briskly to warm them just before you start.
Make long firm movements all the way up both sides of the spine with you palms spread wrists outwards, fingertips almost touching. Never work directly on top of the spine.
Basic movements are: flat gliding movements using palms or heels of hands. Kneading using both hands or thumbs. rapid circular movements of flat fingers of one hand to warm an area for a few minutes before working more deeply on it.
